    摘要: PURPOSE: An electrode holder for melting furnace is provided to effectively seclude the contact between the electrode and oxygen. CONSTITUTION: An electrode holder for melting furnace comprises outer walls(12), inner walls(14), a route, a nose portion ash(16), and fire resistant shielding layers(46). The inner wall forms a channel(20) for accommodating electrodes. The route accommodates the flow of coolant located between the outer wall and inner wall. The nose portion ash combines the inner and outer walls at a first end of the electrode holder. The fire resistant shielding layer is deposited on the external side of the nose portion ash. The fire resistant shielding layer is extended along a part of the inner wall. The fire resistant shielding layer is composed of zirconia or alumina. The thickness of the fire resistant shielding layer is 100 micro meters or greater. The coefficient of thermal expansion of the shielding layer is 10 times or less than the coefficient of thermal expansion of the nose portion ash.

    摘要: A boat-shaped continuous glass-melting metallic furnace equipped with double-layered jacket-type wall having separable block is provided to improve durability of the furnace, to vary the form of the receiver easily for easier maintenance or repair of the furnace, and to obtain a continuous glass-melting furnace that is utilized for both high temperature glass and high purity glass. The metallic furnace(100) is equipped with double-layered jacket-type wall for entrance and exit of refrigerant for heat-exchange, and the upper part of the furnace has opened boat shape. The furnace also has a receiver(20), dam wall(10) and an outlet(30), wherein the receiver(20) receives powdered glass raw material for melting, the dam wall(10) connects the both ends of the upper part of the furnace by crossing them for blocking the flow of unmelted glass raw material, and the outlet(30) is located at the upper end of the receiver(20) for discharging melted glass. The double-layered jacket-type wall consists of separable block, and each block has independent cooling line, respectively. Further, the furnace(100) has a heating electrode(60) which projects into the receiver(20) through the double-layered structure and of which a part in contact with the metallic receiver(20) is surrounded by ceramic insulator(61). The outlet(30) forms an independent double-layered jacket-type wall from the receiver(20). The furnace is optionally equipped with separate assistant heating facility beyond the outlet(30).
