    摘要： The open position of this pneumatic fuse valve is adjustable to change the rate of fluid flow at which the valve closes. The valve has static pressure balance when opened regardless of the pressure in the pipeline and even though the valve has a connection with the space surrounding the outside of its housing for inserting a means for overriding the actuator. This pressure balance permits adjustment of the valve when there is fluid pressure in the line and it permits the valve to be closed by a small force. A bleed connection equalizes pressure on both sides of the valve to permit it to open after the high rate of fluid flow that closed it has been shut off.

    摘要： This specification discloses a flow control valve construction in which the valve element remains stationary and the seat moves. The seat is part of an annular piston or similar element which extends circumferentially around the valve element and which cooperates with the valve element to form a partition across the inside of the valve housing when the valve is closed. There is a recess in the inside wall of the piston which provides an offset in the fluid flow passage so that fluid can flow around the circumferential edge of the valve element when the seat moves away from the valve element to open the valve. The piston can be operated in response to a manual control or a pilot valve. The preferred construction is a pressure reducer with an integral relief valve. The construction provides a compact in-line valve having a diameter not substantially greater than the diameter of the fluid line for which the valve controls the flow.

    摘要： A system for controlling rolling mills, especially roll contour, has hydraulic motors supplied with working fluid through a pressure regulator. The downstream pressure of the working fluid from the pressure regulator is adjusted by selectively supplying and venting fluid from a loading chamber of the pressure regulator. The loading and unloading controls are of a nature that permits remote location, and they are operated by an attendant in accordance with signals from the mill indicating errors in the dimensions of metal being rolled by the mill. Automatic operation can be substituted for the manual operation and programmed control of the pressure can also be used. Loading and unloading valves have actuators providing dither for the valve to prevent the difference in flow rates when flow is increasing as compared to conditions when flow is decreasing.
