摘要: Various embodiments are described herein for a method and related device for processing a first dataset comprising a second dataset and a third dataset in order to locate the third dataset. The second dataset has a variable data length and terminates with an ending marker and the third dataset starts after the ending marker. The method involves preprocessing a memory element by storing a plurality of locater markers, storing the first dataset in the memory element thereby overwriting a portion of the plurality of locater markers, locating which of the plurality of locater markers is closest to the end of the first dataset; and locating the third dataset by searching for the ending marker of the second dataset based on the position of the closest locater marker.

摘要: A computer animation display system and process for smoothly displaying information containing text and moving picture images is disclosed in which animations are played back smoothly by localizing the area of moving picture display so as to reduce the memory space required on a CD-ROM (Compact Disk Read Only Memory) and allow a greater number of animation frames to be stored on a single CD-ROM. The computer animation display process plays animations on a background bitmap relative to arbitrary screen elements called anchors. The computer animation display process further provides dynamic positioning of animation during playback to maintain alignment between the animation and its corresponding anchor should the anchor's position change. The computer animation display process also provides for dynamic display of independent, separately stored text during animation playback. Modification of the text alone, without the need to modify the underlying animated graphics, is also provided.

摘要: A system and method of capturing low-light images on a mobile device include a camera module, an image sensor, an infrared filter, and a visible light filter. The image sensor can detect a color spectrum of ambient light passed through a lens of the camera module. The visible light filter can cover a first portion of the image sensor, and the infrared filter can cover a second portion of the image sensor. A processor can be coupled to the image sensor to receive visible light data and infrared data. Visible light data can be formed from ambient light passed through the visible light filter and image sensor. Infrared data can formed from ambient light passed through the infrared filter and the image sensor. The visible light data and the infrared data are combined to form a low-light image data having enhanced brightness while maintaining color accuracy.

摘要: Object detection and selection for use in a device having digital camera functionality is described. The mechanism detects the occurrence of a gesture by a pointing member in an image frame captured by an IR image sensor. The gesture is then recognized and an object pointed to is detected. The object detected is then selected as a result of the gesture recognition.

摘要: A communications device includes a housing and radio frequency (RF) circuitry and a processor carried by the housing and operative with each other. A Near Field Communications (NFC) circuit is carried by the housing and connected to the processor. This circuit is configured to detect an NFC enabled tag using an NFC communications protocol when the device is positioned near the tag. The circuit generates a disable signal to the processor upon detecting the NFC enabled tag. The processor is configured to cause the device to enter a locked, operating mode upon receiving the disable signal and to enter or remain in an unlocked, operating mode if the NFC circuit does not generate a disable signal indicative that the NFC circuit has not detected the NFC enabled tag.
