摘要: According to some embodiments of the disclosure, it is provided a method for encapsulating point cloud data into an ISOBMFF-based media file, the point cloud data being organized in point cloud frames. After having generated a track describing a sequence of samples, each sample comprising at least one point cloud frame, the sequence of samples comprising at least one sync sample and a plurality of non-sync samples, at least one non-sync sample of the plurality of non-sync samples comprising a parameter set, and after having generated metadata describing whether a non-sync sample of the plurality of non-sync samples requires, to be decoded, a parameter set from another non-sync sample of the non-sync samples, the track and the metadata are encapsulated in the media file.

摘要: The present invention relates to an inter-layer prediction method and to an apparatus implementing the method. The method may comprise the steps of generating a first block constituted by the value obtained by up-sampling the reconstruction value of a reference block of a reference layer corresponding to the current block; generating a second block constituted by a prediction value derived from intra-prediction mode of the current block; and generating a prediction block of the current block by combining sample values of the first block and the second block. Thus, intra-prediction on the current layer can be performed using the intra-prediction mode information of another layer.

摘要: A video encoding apparatus appends decoding delay correction information and display delay correction information to encoded video data in order to ensure that even when one or more pictures that are later in encoding order in the video data than a first picture that may potentially be spliced to a trailing end of other encoded video data have been discarded, the first picture and subsequent pictures in the encoded video data can be continuously decoded and displayed by a video decoding apparatus. The video decoding apparatus corrects the decoding delay and display delay of the first picture and its subsequent pictures by using the decoding delay correction information and display delay correction information.

摘要: Methods of data encoding using trees formed with logic gates are described which lead to spatial compression of image data. Data encoding is achieved using a five-level wavelet transform, such as the Haar or the 2/10 transform. A dual transform engine is used, the first and engine being used for the first part of the first-level transform, the second part of the first-level transform and the subsequent-level transforms being performed by the second transform engine within a time interval which is less than or equal to the time taken by the first transform engine to effect the part-transform. Each bit plane of the resulting coefficients is then encoded by forming a tree structure from the bits and OR logical combinations thereof. Redundant data are removed from the resulting tree structure, and further data can be removed by using a predetermined compression profile. The resulting blocks of compressed data are of variable length and are packaged with sync words and index words for transmission so that the location and identity of the transformed data blocks can be determined from the received signal.

The method includes: configuring, when multiple bitstreams are required to be aligned, by a transmitting terminal, alignment auxiliary information in the multiple bitstreams so as to store the same or transmit the same to a receiving terminal; and acquiring, by the receiving terminal, the multiple bitstreams, and synchronizing each of the bitstreams of a different standard according to the alignment auxiliary information carried in each of the bitstreams.

Such technique may involve the storing of a mapping that maps, for each data block within the data seglet, an identifier of the data block to a decompression endpoint that indicates a portion of the data seglet that includes the data block.

The video entropy decoding method includes: determining a bin string and a bin index for a maximum coding unit that is obtained from a bitstream; determining a value of a syntax element by comparing the determined bin string with bin strings that is assignable to the syntax element in the bin index; storing context variables for the maximum coding unit when the syntax element is a last syntax element in the maximum coding unit, a dependent slice segment is includable in a picture in which the maximum coding unit is included, and the maximum coding unit is a last maximum coding unit in a slice segment; and restoring symbols of the maximum coding unit by using the determined value of the syntax element.
