Abstract: Oil filtration unit for removal of contaminants from oil including a housing with an inlet to receive contaminated oil from surroundings and release oil to an inner opening at a first pressure, an outlet adapted to release filtered oil to surroundings, and an oil filter for filtering oil in the inner opening of the housing. The oil filter includes an inlet with an outer surface, an inner volume to receive filtered oil at a second pressure lower than the first pressure, and an outlet inside the housing providing fluid/liquid communication between the inner volume and the housing outlet. The filter outlet includes a hydraulic resistance providing a fluid/liquid flow restriction between the inner volume and the housing outlet to increase the second pressure inside the inner filter volume and release the oil from the inner filter volume to the housing outlet at a third pressure lower than the second pressure.

Abstract: A device for processing of a liquid that includes a device-input for receiving the liquid to be processed at an input-pressure, a device-output for returning the processed liquid at an output-pressure, and a process chamber having a chamber-inlet and a chamber-outlet, and a feed-line for connecting the chamber-inlet to the device-input. The feed-line includes a multi-stage pump for increasing the pressure of the liquid from the input-pressure to a feed-pressure at the chamber-inlet, a discharge-line for connecting the chamber-outlet to the device-output which discharge-line includes back-pressure means adapted to maintain a discharge-pressure at the chamber-outlet upstream of the back-pressure means at an excess-pressure above the output-pressure, and to reduce the pressure of the liquid from the discharge-pressure to the output-pressure downstream of the back-pressure means. The pump in the feed-line is a first stage of a multiple-stage gear pump. The back-pressure means in the discharge-line is a second stage of the multiple-stage gear pump. The second stage is mechanically coupled to the first stage.

Abstract: A system and method for separating parts of a liquid based or depending on gas content is disclosed herein. The system, in an embodiment, comprises a pressure chamber, an inlet through which liquid is pumped into said chamber, a first liquid outlet connected to an upper part of said pressure chamber, and a second liquid outlet connected to a lower part of said pressure chamber. The first and second liquid outlets comprise a first valve element and a second valve element, respectively, that are configured to control the pressure inside said pressure chamber. While under pressure, a first subpart of the liquid inside said pressure flows out of the first liquid outlet, and a second subpart of the liquid inside said pressure flows out of the second liquid outlet. The first subpart has a greater percentage of gas content than the percentage of gas content, if any, in the second subpart.

Abstract: According to the invention, a system for separating gas from a liquid is proposed. The system comprises a pressure chamber, said pressure chamber comprising an inlet through which liquid is pumped into said chamber, and wherein said pressure chamber further comprises a first liquid outlet connected to an upper part of said pressure chamber comprising a first valve element and a second liquid outlet connected to a lower part of said pressure chamber comprising a second valve element. Said first and second valve elements are adapted to control the pressure inside said pressure chamber, whereby, while under pressure, a subpart of the liquid inside said pressure flows out of the first and second liquid outlets, respectively, and wherein a main part of the gas content is in the subpart flowing through the first liquid outlet. Thereby, liquid having a certain gas content will be separated into two subparts in a fast and easy way. where the first subpart comprises a main part of the gas content and the second subpart comprises liquid being essentially free of gas. The pressurisation within the pressure chamber decreases the time it takes to achieve such separation. Further, the provision of valves and outlet allows controlling the separation process and further allows the outlet of a liquid having a main part of the gas content and the outlet of liquid being essentially gas-free. Further, the provision of valves allows a continuous process, such that the system may be incorporated into running processes, e.g. a running engine.

Abstract: A device (200) for processing of a liquid comprises a device-input (202) for receiving the liquid to be processed at an input-pressure (p1), a device-output (216) for returning the processed liquid at an output-pressure (p4), a process chamber, and vacuum generating means communicating with a gas filled portion of the process chamber via a vacuum port for reducing the pressure therein to a vacuum-pressure.
