摘要:
A transport layer control device includes a controller to establish or release a transmission control protocol (TCP) connection and to process retransmission of a lost packet using TCP, and a packet processor to number packets and to process transmission of the numbered packets using a user datagram protocol (UDP). A method for transmitting a packet includes establishing the TCP connection with a receiving device, numbering packets and transmitting the numbered packets to the receiving device using UDP, and retransmitting a lost packet to the receiving device using TCP in response to a retransmission request for the lost packet. A method for receiving a plurality of packets includes establishing the TCP connection, receiving numbered packets using UDP, requesting retransmission of a lost packet using TCP, and receiving the lost packet through TCP.

A method of operating an Internet protocol (IP) address allocates, creates, and processes an interface identifier (ID) of an IP address area. In the allocation, the IP address area includes a subnet prefix area and an Interface ID area, and certain bits of the Interface ID area are used as an index area of a subnet gateway. The allocation is implemented in order from the higher layer to the lower layer so that the Interface ID area is sequentially allocated from the higher bits for the index areas of the respective layers. The combination of the certain bits of the allocated Interface ID and the subnet prefix area of the IP address area is used as the subnet ID of the subnet layers. The lowest subnet gateway allocates the Interface ID to terminating equipment to access the IP network based on a format of the IP address.

Disclosed is a method of transmitting uplink packet data from a mobile communication terminal to an Internet interface device, wherein a radio access network buffers and accumulates radio link frames received from a mobile station as many as the packet size of an upper layer, and transmits the accumulated frames to the Internet interface device at once.

A method for performing packet data communication between a mobile station (MS) and a packet data serving node (PDSN) in the next generation mobile communication network. In accordance with the packet data communication method, a traffic channel is set up between the MS and a radio network (RN), and a packet connection is set up between the RN and the PDSN. The MS and the PDSN exchange a data packet by means of an Internet protocol (IP) session without setting up a point-to-point protocol (PPP) layer connection. Therefore, unnecessary bytes of a PPP packet can be removed, and a negotiation process for setting up a PPP layer connection and time delay due to the negotiation process can be removed. An operation of transmitting IP information for the MS that is conventionally performed in the PPP layer connection setup process is performed using a broadcast/multicast Internet protocol (IP) packet, in a packet data service method in the mobile communication network.

Disclosed is a data call terminating service system and method for a dynamic IP of a mobile communication terminal. The method includes the steps of: a) transmitting, from a DNS to a call terminating server, access request information about a request of access to a URL designating a specific mobile communication terminal from an external host; b) acquiring, at the call terminating server having received the access request, a phone number of the mobile communication terminal corresponding to the URL contained in the received access request information by making reference to a database; c) requesting, at the call terminating server, data call establishment from the mobile communication terminal after acquiring location information of the mobile communication terminal corresponding to the phone number acquired in step b) through HLR; and d) notifying, at the call terminating server, the DNS and the external host of IP assignment information received from the mobile communication terminal having established the data call.

A platform security apparatus and a method thereof are capable of protecting a mobile communication terminal from an abnormal or unintended operation of an application program installed over a platform of the mobile communication terminal. An authentication key is created with respect to each function of an application program, and the authentication key and an identifier of the application program are associated with each other and stored. An authentication process is performed by comparing an authentication key and an identifier of an application program registered as function parameters with an authentication key and an identifier of the application program which have been stored, when the application program calls the function.
