摘要： A method of forming a winding core for an electric motor includes providing a hollow jig having a guide, sliding plates, each having a guide and a central opening, onto the guide in the jig where the guides mate, and pressing a shaft into the central opening of the plates. The plates are then compressed to form a lamination and secured in compression by a lock nut on the shaft.

摘要： An electric motor comprises a stator fixedly mounted to a shaft and a rotor, surrounding the stator, rotatably mounted to the shaft. The shaft is stiffened by a plurality of plates mounted to the shaft and held thereon under significant compression by a lock nut. The compression is high enough to inhibit bending that would otherwise occur from external forces acting on the shaft. The plates also form the windings for the motor.

The mount comprises a yoke with two opposed bushings and a clamp for holding the stationary shaft, wherein the clamp is mounted to the bushings within the yoke. Thus, the mounting block damps vibrations of the motor in all directions while maintaining torsion stability.
