摘要： An apparatus and method unlock a shaft (42, 142) of a unit (24, 124) for rotation in response to a mechanical reaction between the unit (24, 124) and an enclosure (22, 122) receiving the unit (24, 124) when the unit (24, 124) has been sufficiently inserted into the enclosure (22, 122), whereby rotation of the shaft (42, 142) linearly translates a component of the unit (24, 124) into connection with a component of the enclosure (22, 122).

摘要： A computer system includes software running on a hardware platform. The hardware platform provides a platform manager having an user interface that is independent of that for a mission operating system running on said platform. The platform manager issues platform requests for power-setting adjustments. The software includes a mission operating system with a power controller incorporated in or running on the mission operating system. The power controller adjusts power settings for hardware devices at least in part as a function of the platform requests.
