    摘要: A is provided method for communicating between software applications on a portable device and a software-controlled vehicle system of a vehicle. The portable device is linked to the software-controlled vehicle system. The portable device includes a host software application and slave software applications. The host software application is capable of enabling slave software applications stored on the portable device through the software-controlled vehicle system. The host software application is enabled in response to establishing a communication link from the software-controlled vehicle system to the portable device. An authorized slave software application of the portable device is manually selected utilizing a vehicle human machine interface of the vehicle. The selected slave software application is launched via the host software application invoking a launch request command to the selected slave software application. An operating system of the portable device executes control of the selected slave software application via the vehicle human machine interface.

    摘要: A method is provided for limiting a steering angle overlay applied by a steering actuator in a limited by-wire active front steering (AFS) system. The method includes determining a maximum rate limit for the steering angle overlay in order to minimize an undesired disturbance to the driver in the form of a torque and/or angle feedback while maximizing the rate of steering overlay allowed for a given set of vehicle operating conditions. The maximum rate limit is determined by a function of the input steering rate and braking level. A limited AFS system includes both steering and braking input devices, a steering actuator, and a controller having an algorithm. The controller uses the algorithm to calculate the maximum overlay rate limit and limits the steering actuator to the maximum overlay rate limit.
