Abstract:
A lip and skin plumping device and method are presented utilizing a vacuum pump and controller to deliver a constant frequency pulsating suction to the skin. The constant frequency allows blood to pulse through the affected area to reduce stress and trauma to the treated skin. The device is hand-held and may have tips to fit lips or be used around the eyes.
Abstract:
An integrated circuit digital processor is coupled to either a main program memory or a secondary program memory, wherein the secondary program memory may be low power, high reliability, non-volatile and/or fast memory that may store a limited number of critical program instructions and data for execution by the digital processor. A program memory switch may couple the digital processor to either the main program memory or the secondary program memory. This is particularly advantageous in that the secondary program memory may have attributes not economically feasible with the main program memory. A program memory controller may handle the selection of which of these memories that the digital processor is using to obtain its program instructions, and necessary control signals for switching and operation thereof.
Abstract:
The present disclosure is drawn to skin care devices. An example skin care device can include skin-rejuvenation head with a first external region including an array of skin-cleansing bristles and a second external region including an auxiliary skin-treatment appliance of a different type than the skin-cleansing bristles. The skin-rejuvenation head can include a vibrational motor positioned therein to provide vibratory oscillation to both the skin-cleansing bristles and the auxiliary skin-treatment appliance. A support rod can be mechanically coupled to the skin-rejuvenation head. A handle can include a neck portion and a grip portion, with the support rod also coupled to the handle. The neck portion can be proximal to the skin-rejuvenation head and the grip portion can be distal to the skin-rejuvenation head. The neck portion can include an energy dampening sleeve around the support rod, leaving a gap around the support rod.
Abstract:
A radio frequency identification (RFID) tag device having a pulse position modulation (PPM) decoder circuit which calculates a relative frequency relationship between an internal clock-oscillator of the RFID tag device and an external PPM source such as a RFID tag reader, and then synchronizes the RFID tag device PPM decoder circuit to the required precision for reliable PPM symbol decoding. The PPM decoder is synchronized by measuring the “counts per pulse” (CPP) from a calibration cycle having a plurality of pulses in a single symbol frame.
Abstract:
A mechanically adjustable tunnelling junction includes two electrodes defining a gap supported on substrates. Spacers maintain the electrodes in spaced apart relation. At least one of substrates is mechanically deformable, whereby the application of an external force to the substrates decreases the gap to the range where tunnelling will occur.
Abstract:
A radio frequency identification tag device having a sensor input which modifies a tag data word bitstream read by an interrogator/tag detector. The sensor input may be a switch contact(s), digital and/or analog. The sensor input may be voltage, current, pressure, temperature, resistance, acceleration, moisture, gas and the like. Power from the radio frequency interrogator/tag reader may be used to power the circuits of the radio frequency tag device, which in turn may supply power to any sensor connected thereto.
Abstract:
An improved integrated circuit transponder device is presented comprising, in combination, a single, externally wireless package enclosing an integrated circuit semiconductor chip, a coil within the package being selectively exposed to an electromagnetic field, and a detection portion on the integrated circuit semiconductor chip and being coupled to each end of the coil for detecting when voltages at each end of the coil are approximately equal over a period of time. The detection portion includes an exclusive NOR gate coupled to each end of the coil for determining when the coil voltages are equal, and the output of the exclusive NOR gate is input to a filter before being delivered to the remainder of the device circuitry.
