Abstract: A threaded fastener is provided in which a head bearing surface can be in full intimate contact with a counterpart. The threaded fastener is provided with a head (10), and a screw shank (20) extending from the head (10). The screw shank (20) is provided with a parallel thread portion (22) having a complete screw thread formed therein, a neck portion (24) having no screw thread, a transition thread portion (26) having an incomplete screw thread formed to extend from the parallel thread portion (22) toward the neck portion (24) with its root diameter being the same as that of the complete screw thread and with its thread height gradually becoming lower to reach the neck portion, and an underneck rounded portion (28) formed in a corner angle portion between the neck portion (24) and a head bearing surface (11), wherein the neck portion (24) is work hardened with its diameter being narrowed from a root diameter of the parallel thread portion (22).

Abstract: A tapping screw provides sufficient tightening force even if used with a thin screwed member and tightening target member. The tapping screw (100) includes a first ridge (11) and a second ridge (12) configured to have incomplete threads that are 180° out of phase. The tapping screw (100) includes a first tightening force improvement ridge (13) and a second tightening force improvement ridge (14) that are set so as to be smaller than the outside diameters of complete thread sections of parallel threaded portions of the first ridge (11) and the second ridge (12) but larger than the inside diameter of the prepared hole are provided in each of areas which are 90° out of phase with the first ridge (11) and the second ridge (12), respectively, such that the tightening force improvement ridges bite into the prepared hole when the screw is fully screwed in.

Abstract: A threaded fastener includes a bolt and a washer. The washer has a washer main body and a seal member provided at an outer peripheral side of the washer main body. The washer is caulked and fixed to a shank portion of the bolt in a water stop state, and the seal member is in contact with a fastened member in a water stop state, with a bearing surface of the washer main body held in contact with the fastened member. The seal member is provided on its outer periphery with a protrusion portion that protrudes outward beyond a radially outer end of a contact portion of the seal member with the washer in a no-load state. A back surface of the protrusion portion on the opposite side of the fastened member is an inclined surface.
