Abstract: A mixture curable in the presence of a metallic catalyst to provide a material for thermally insulating a substrate useable subsea. The mixture comprises from 55 to 99% by weight of a norbornene monomer and a water insoluble polymer filler. The water insoluble polymer filler comprises polystyrene or polypropylene, or derivatives thereof.
