摘要: A former for a machine for the production of a fibrous web, particularly a paper or cardboard web including a headbox equipped with at least one stock suspension feed, one turbulence block equipped with several channels and/or a tube generator equipped with several channels, and a headbox nozzle whose suspension jet strikes an exposed or open surface of a dewatering belt, specifically a wire. Turbulence generating elements are allocated to at least a section of the channels and/or the headbox nozzle, in order to create turbulent flows in the suspension substreams in the channels, or in the headbox nozzle. The side of the suspension stream facing away from the dewatering belt is covered at least partially by a wall. A danger of the suspension stream bursting open is reduced to a minimum. In addition, swirling motions of considerably higher intensity than occur on conventional Fourdrinier wire formers are now permissible.

摘要: A twin wire former in a machine for the production of a fibrous material web, specifically a paper or cardboard web, includes two rotating continuous wires which meet in the area of a simultaneously rotating dewatering element, thereby forming a stock inlet gap; and a headbox over which the fiber stock suspension is fed into the stock inlet gap. The stock consistency C of the fiber stock suspension in the headbox, as well as the basis weight F of the fiber stock suspension supplied to the stock inlet gap is selected according to the calculation: F/(C*1000)>0.025 whereby the basis weight F is stated in g/m2 and the stock consistency C is stated in g/l.

摘要: The wet section of a twin wire papermaking machine is provided with an open forming roll at the lower wire and with the combination of a suction box at the lower wire and a vacuum suction box at the upper wire. Furthermore, by selecting the elevational position or level of the individual wire sections there can be obtained particularly advantageous conditions for the operation of the papermaking machine throughout a wide field of application, especially heavy types of paper at relatively low operating velocities of the papermaking machine. Gap-former and hybrid-former constructions of the papermaking machine are possible.

摘要: Calendering takes place in a calendering zone which operates under pressure with application of temperature and moisture. The desired smoothness is achieved with a correspondingly long dwell time of the material web in a correspondingly long calendering zone in view of the speed of web travel. A web which is still wet is guided between parallel heatable surfaces which are arranged on both sides of the web and face each other through the web and can each be pressed against the web. The surfaces are designed to form and hold a given precise contour of the calendering zone over its full length. One surface is constructed e.g. as a casing of a heated roller and the second surface is constructed as an endless flexible belt which can be pressed in a direction towards the roller casing by means of a concave supporting element. If wished, the web can be calendered on both sides with the method.

摘要: A twin-wire papermaking machine contains a headbox for forming a first fiber ply which is essentially downwardly dewatered at a section of a first wire. At the end of this wire section, forwardly or upstream of the inbound or on-running location of a second wire there is arranged a second headbox for forming a second fiber ply which is essentially upwardly dewatered along a subsequently arranged common path of both wires. The common path advantageously extends over an essentially water impervious, convex domed contact surface of a slide shoe and/or a jacket surface of a guide cylinder or roll. During operation, the second fiber ply is deposited upon the already extensively dewatered first fiber ply and upon passage through the common path of both wires this second fiber ply is dewatered upwardly away from the first fiber ply. This enables separate dewatering of both fiber plies, and there is particularly avoided deflocculation of individual fibers, and thus, impairment of the fiber formation in the initially formed ply.
