Abstract: An entrance system (1) comprises a swing door member (10) having a door leaf (12), and a sensor unit (S1; S) mounted to the door leaf (12), the sensor unit comprising a door angle sensor (S1). The entrance system (1) further comprises an automatic door operator (30) having a motor (34) capable of causing movement of the door member (10), a controller (31) for controlling operation of the motor (34), and a linkage (40) connected to the automatic door operator (30) and the door leaf (12) for transferring torque generated by the motor (34) to the door leaf (12). The automatic door operator (30) is operable in a learn mode (60) and an operational mode (70). In the learn mode (60), the controller establishes a linkage reduction curve (65) relating a movement of said door member (10) with the torque required to move the door leaf (12) through different angles (α). The door leaf angles are determined from measurement readings of said door angle sensor (S1). In the operational mode (70), the controller compensates for a non-linear torque transfer characteristic of the linkage (40) by applying the linkage reduction curve (65) to control the motor (34).

Abstract: A door operator for operating a door leaf of a door set includes a control unit, a drive unit and a user interface. The control unit detects that the door operator is in a first mode to receive a set of set-up parameters. In the first mode the control unit detects an external data storage, provides access to the external data storage, and automatically receives a set of set-up parameters from the external data storage. The door operator installs the set of set-up parameters in the control unit. The door operator controls the drive unit to operate the door leaf based on the set of set-up parameters.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method (50) of providing finger pinch protection at a hinge area of a swing door-based entrance system (1) having a motorized automatic door operator (30) for opening (2) of the swing door (10) in an automatic mode of the entrance system (1), wherein the entrance system (1) also has a manual mode in which a human user may cause opening and closing of the swing door (10) by manual force. The method involves monitoring (52), by a first sensor function (S1), for presence of a person or object in a first zone (PD) at the first door leaf surface (12-1) and non-proximate to a vertical door edge (14). The method also involves monitoring, by a second sensor function (S2), for presence of a person or object in a second zone (PDHA) at the first door leaf surface (12-1) and proximate to said vertical door edge (14). When any of the first sensor function (S1) or second sensor function (S2) detects presence in the first zone (PD) or second zone (PDHA) in the automatic mode during an ongoing opening of the swing door (10), the automatic door operator (30) is controlled so as to stop opening of the swing door (10). When the second sensor function (S2) detects presence in the second zone (PDHA) in the manual mode, the automatic door operator (30) is controlled so as to counteract an attempt by a human user to manually open the swing door (10). A corresponding entrance system (1) is also disclosed.

Abstract: An automatic door operator (30) in adapted for use in an entrance system (1) that comprises a swing door member (10) being operable between a closed position (18) which prevents passage, and an open position (19) which admits passage. The automatic door operator (30) has an electric motor (34), an activation sensor (15) configured for manual actuation by a person wishing to pass through the entrance system, and a controller (31) having a normal operating mode and an emergency mode. The swing door operator (110) is arranged to operate in a powered and a powerless mode and comprises a permanent magnet DC motor (310). The motor (310) is arranged to move the door leaf (120) at least from the second position to the first position in the powered mode. The swing door operator (110) further comprises a mechanical drive unit (320), arranged to move the door leaf from the first position to the second position in the powerless mode. In the powerless mode, at least one resistive device is electrically connected in parallel with the motor (310) and arranged to limit a current generated by the motor (310) in response to the movement of the door leaf (120) from the first position to the second position by means of the mechanical drive unit (320). A method for controlling the swing door operator is also provided.
