    摘要: An emergency mechanism for manually opening a powered door that includes a hold-close latch that holds the door in a closed position. During the manual operation, a manually operated handle for actuating only the hold-closed latch is manually moved from a non-actuating position to an actuating position, which actuates the hold-close latch to release the door from the closed position. The handle is held in the actuating position until it is moved back to the non-actuating position during a subsequent powered operation, thus allowing a user to move the door to an opened position using both hands.

    摘要: A child safety device for a casement window includes a handle-driven gear reduction assembly having a sensor gear driven at a reduced speed relative to the handle, a sensor arm driven by the sensor gear of the gear reduction assembly and a slider movable between a stop position where rotation of the handle is prevented and a retracted position where rotation is allowed. A spring biases the slider towards the stop position. The slider is held in the retracted position by a catch and is released by the sensor arm to prevent further opening of the window when the sensor gear reaches a predetermined location. The safety device resets when the window is closed and can be overridden to allow full opening of the window by an adult. In the preferred design, the child safety device is a cover that can replace the cover of an existing casement window operator.

    摘要: A lock and safety release for power operated doors of the type in which the door is normally connected to a door operator for movement thereby, and in which the connection of the door to the door operator can be released to enable manual movement of the door. The lock and safety release includes inner and outer emergency release handles at opposite sides of the door which are selectively operable to disconnect the door from the door operator, and a lock mechanism for locking the outer emergency handle to prevent its operation to disconnect the door from the door operator and to also disable the door operator to prevent powered movement of the door by the door operator. The inner release handle remains operative to disconnect the door from the door operator to enable manual operation of the door when the outer handle is locked and the power operator is disabled.

    摘要: A foot operable door opener operates, without using one's hands, and without an electrical assist. The entrance cycle is initiated by stepping on a pedal. This force drives the pedal a ¼ turn, engaging a soft wheel to open the door. The pedal is hard linked to a crank arm which goes into a unidirectional crank shaft hub to turn the wheel. The downward pressure from the pedal pivots a ratcheted hinge connected to a bracketed spring-loaded wheel assembly to keep constant pressure to the ground. A gear box or multiple pumps of the pedal turns the wheel two or more 360 degrees rotations, opening the door to allow the entrant to pass until the foot pedal is dis-engaged. This action releases the ratcheting hinge mechanism, allowing the spring assisted wheel assemble to rotate to its original up position, releasing the wheel from the ground, allowing the door to close.

    摘要: A composite pull-chain disc mechanism with brake function for a door operator comprises a torsional spring having de-twisting and twisting sides. The weight of a door curtain always acts on the de-twisting sides, so that the inner diameter of the torsional spring is induced to shrink to brake the rotation of the central shaft of the door operator. If twisting sides bears an external force, the inner diameter of the torsional spring is induced to enlarge to release braking of the central shaft. Furthermore, the composite pull-chain disc mechanism can be adapted to an electric door operator. In the case of detaching an electric motor mechanism during maintenance, the door operator can still be operated to open/close a door in a manual mode through the composite pull-chain disc mechanism.

    摘要: The invention provides a control mechanism for opening/unlocking the garage door. In this manner, the Emergency Garage Door Arm Release allows consumers to open their garage door from the outside. A transmitter is a control device installed on the outside of the garage and features a keypad on which the user punches in their security code and then activates the emergency release button. Once activated the Emergency Garage Door Arm Release sends a current to the solenoid which then releases the pin thus allowing the garage door to pop open. Once released, the consumer manually opens or raises the garage door the rest of the way.
