Abstract: The production of diesters of dicarboxylic acids having six to 18 carbon atoms and alcohols of four to 12 carbon atoms by electrochemical condensation of monoesters of dicarboxylic acids of four to 10 carbon atoms and alcohols of four to 12 carbon atoms in solution in methanol which contains from 0.01 to 5% by weight of water.
