    Abstract: A helmet can comprise an upper-body comprising an upper outer shell and an upper energy-absorbing material coupled the upper outer shell. The helmet can comprise a lower-body comprising a lower outer shell and a lower energy-absorbing material coupled the outer shell, wherein the lower-body is nested within the upper-body. A strap anchor can be formed without a web and embedded within the upper-body or the lower-body between the upper-body and the nested lower-body. A strap can be coupled to the strap anchor, wherein the strap extends between the upper-body and the lower-body and is threaded through the lower-body to couple the helmet to a head of a user. The strap anchor can comprise a size less than or equal to 10-30 millimeters (mm), by 10-50 mm, by 2-10 mm. The strap anchor can be sandwiched between the upper-body and the lower-body and hidden from view within the helmet.

An opening can be formed within a front portion of the helmet and disposed between an outer surface of the upper-body and an inner surface of the lower-body. A first magnet can be encased within the upper-body or the lower-body and adjacent the opening. A shield can comprise a shield mount and a second magnet coupled to the shield mount that is sized to fit within the opening and to be releasably coupled to the first magnet. The first magnet and the second magnet can be self-aligned in direct alignment with eyes of a user. A third magnet can be disposed above the first magnet and aligned with the second magnet on an outer surface of the helmet out of sight from eyes of the user.

    Abstract: An anchoring system for securing a strap to an in-molded helmet can include a strap anchor that includes an anchor housing and an in-molding flange coupled to the anchor housing. The anchoring system can include a bar tack clip sized to fit partially within the anchor housing, the bar tack clip including a cross beam, an opening adjacent the cross beam, and at least one clip coupled to the cross beam and sized to mateably couple with the anchor housing. The anchoring system can also include a strap disposed through the opening in the bar tack clip and looped around the cross beam, the strap being coupled to itself with a bar tack. The at least one clip of the bar tack clip can be disposed at an in-bound side of the bar tack clip or can include two side clips.

The helmet can comprise a vent closure system comprising a vent cover disposed between an inner surface of the upper-body and an outer surface of the lower-body, wherein the vent closure system is configured to adjustably block 0-100 percent of the overlap between the upper vent opening and the lower vent opening with the vent cover. An adjustable position of the vent cover can be determined by a position of a vent actuator tab.

    Abstract: An anchoring system for securing a strap to an in-molded helmet can include a strap anchor that includes an anchor housing and an in-molding flange coupled to the anchor housing. The anchoring system can include a bar tack clip sized to fit partially within the anchor housing, the bar tack clip including a cross beam, an opening adjacent the cross beam, and at least one clip coupled to the cross beam and sized to mateably couple with the anchor housing. The anchoring system can also include a strap disposed through the opening in the bar tack clip and looped around the cross beam, the strap being coupled to itself with a bar tack. The at least one clip of the bar tack clip can be disposed at an in-bound side of the bar tack clip or can include two side clips.
