Abstract: An installation and a method for the heat treatment of refuse of any type and similar products such as low or poor quality fuels are disclosed. The installation comprises a one piece combustion chamber formed of three coaxial parts, one of which is of truncated conical shape, and another one of which comprises an opening in its vault for collection of the combustion gas in a hood sealingly mounted onto the external wall of the chamber and covering said vault opening, means being provided for imparting to said chamber an oscillating movement around its longitudinal axis in order to propel the refuse and similar products between the entrance and the exit of the chamber.
