    摘要: A device and method are provided for clips or staples as an effective substitute for suture material when joining body tissue or covering body tissue with a mesh, such as is particularly used in fracture operations. The device for applying a medical lockable clip (1) in a tissue area, includes a) an automatic advancing mechanism oriented in the direction of the tissue area from a starting position and having a guide in the advancing direction for the clip, wherein the clip has two gripper teeth oriented in the advancing direction, b) a stop for the advancing mechanism, and c) a locking element displaceable with the advancing mechanism and having a locking mechanism on the clip side for locking the clip, wherein d) the locking element is displaceable together with and parallel to the advancing mechanism, and e) the stop does not limit the motion of the locking element.

    摘要: A cutter for spine surgery is provided, especially for use in the area of the delicate cervical spine. The cutter includes a cylindrical cutter shank with cutter teeth formed at the distal end thereof. The cutter teeth at the distal end of the cutter shank are formed by grooves in the wall of the cutter shank. The grooves become deeper and expand from the outer radius of the cutter shank towards the distal end such that teeth narrowing towards the distal end with increasing height are formed between them. This guarantees especially gentle cutting in the area of the cervical spine, without surrounding delicate tissue being additionally jeopardized.

    摘要: A retaining ring for a seal ring of a mechanical seal assembly comprises a recess (8) inserted at the side of one of its axial ends for a sealing receipt and force-fit assembly of the seal ring (2). In the recess (8), an engaging ring (10) made of a flexible material and having a corrugated profile at its inner periphery is retained, wherein at least the elevations (15) of the corrugated profile may be brought in a force-fit engagement with the outer periphery of the seal ring, when the seal ring is moved into the engaging ring by an external mounting force. Each elevation has a leading flange in direction (P) of the mounting movement having a inclination angle α2 larger than α1 of a lagging flange (18).

    摘要: A mechanical seal assembly to be used in sterile applications comprises a pair of co-operating seal rings (2, 5), one of which is held rotationally fixed and the other of which is provided to rotate together with a rotating component, wherein one of the seal rings is axially movable and biased by a spring against the other seal ring, a retainer housing (1) at which the rotating seal ring is retained near an axial end thereof, a mounting member (12) which may be mounted rotationally fixed at the rotating member, and a rotatory force transmission device (10) for transmitting a rotatory force between the mounting member and the retainer housing. The rotatory force transmission device (10) comprises a transmitting ring (15) retained in press-fit at the retainer housing (1) near the other axial end thereof, the transmitting ring including at least one protruding engagement member (20) engaging in an aligned recess in the mounting member. The retainer housing may therefore feature a desired smooth outer periphery without any dead spots.
