Abstract: A system for dispensing a fluid, such as a hand soap or the like. The system includes a dispenser and/or a refill cartridge. The dispenser includes a dispenser body having a refill cavity, a dispenser lid configured to be coupled to the dispenser body, and a pump sub-system mounted to the dispenser lid. The pump sub-system includes a first dip tube, a dispensing orifice, and a pump. The refill cartridge includes a cartridge body having a fluid cavity, a store of a fluid in the fluid cavity, and a second dip tube extending into the store of the fluid. The refill cartridge is configured for slidable insertion into and removal from the refill cavity of the dispenser body. The dispenser lid may be coupled to the dispenser body thereby mating the first and second dip tubes to enable dispensing of the fluid.

The mouthpiece may comprise a lamp support structure comprising a lamp support surface; first and second lamps, each of the first and second lamps comprising a plurality of light emitters that generate light which is emitted from a rear surface of the lamp; each of the first and second lamps mounted to the lamp support surface, thereby forming a lamp assembly, each of the first and second lamps operably coupled to a control circuit having a power source; and a lamp retaining component coupled to the lamp support structure, a lower portion of the first lamp and an upper portion of the second lamp retained between the lamp retaining component and the lamp support surface of the lamp support structure.

Abstract: An oral treatment device that emits light onto a user's teeth. The oral treatment device includes an intraoral mouthpiece comprising: a lamp comprising: a flexible sheet body having a front surface and a rear surface; and a plurality of light emitting diodes embedded within the flexible sheet body that generate light which is emitted from the rear surface of the flexible sheet body. The flexible sheet body comprises: a flexible lens plate formed of a biocompatible material. The plurality of light emitting diodes are printed to the front surface of the flexible lens plate, the rear surface of the flexible lens plate forming the rear surface of the flexible sheet body. The rear surface of the flexible sheet body of the lamp having a concave curvature and being exposed so as to form a light emitting surface of the mouthpiece.

Abstract: An oral care implement with product application is disclosed. In one embodiment, the implement is a fluid dispensing toothbrush having a body comprised of a handle, a head, and an internal cavity containing an oral care material. The head includes tooth cleaning elements and an applicator in fluid communication with the internal cavity. In one embodiment, the applicator includes at least one spring-actuated valve operable to dispense the fluidic oral care material upon engagement with a user's oral tissue. The oral care material is delivered from the internal cavity upon applying a pressing force to a moveable sealing element of the valve. In certain embodiments, a pressurizer may be provided to pressurize the oral care material for positive dispensing. In one embodiment, the applicator is disposed in a soft tissue cleaner on the toothbrush head.

Abstract: A container (100) is provided that includes a chamber (102), a dispensing passageway and a resilient valve (120). The chamber contains a viscous fluidic material. The valve (120) is configured to transition from a normal state to a dispensing state upon a discharge pressure being applied to the chamber (102) to allow the viscous fluidic material to pass through the orifice (131) of the resilient valve and to be dispensed from the dispensing passageway as a string of the viscous fluidic material. The orifice (131) is open in the normal state. The valve is also configured to return from the dispensing state to the normal state upon cessation of the discharge pressure, whereby the resilient valve (120) assumes a pinching state while returning from the dispensing state to the normal state in which the string of the viscous fluidic material is pinched off by the orifice edge.
