摘要: A method of enhancing penetration of a topical composition of 5-aminolevulinic acid (ALA) into tissue for photodynamic therapy includes topically applying ALA to a treatment area to be treated with photodynamic therapy. The method further includes, after the ALA is applied to the treatment area, covering the treatment area with a low density polyethylene barrier. The treatment area is covered with the low density polyethylene barrier prior to light treatment to minimize transepidermal water loss from the treatment area.

摘要: Disclosed is an example of a system for selectively influencing the circadian system of a human being, or other human stimulus factor, while simultaneously making minimal shifts to a specified operational parameter of the light source, such as correlated color temperature (CCT), color rendering index, look on a fixture, net lumen output, or a power consumption requirement. An example involves image processing to produce drive signals for emitters of a source array in a luminaire and an associated illumination control function to continuously meet a specific melanopic lux or circadian stimulus value, while adjusting/optimizing one or more other operational parameters of the source emitter outputs to achieve or maintain the operational parameter, such as light output level or power consumption, to within some acceptable degree of tolerance.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a myopia treatment device. A myopia treatment device of the present invention comprises a light transmission part selected from a group consisting of an eyesight correcting tool, an eye protection tool, a face protection tool, a sunshade, a display device, a window, a wall, a light source covering, and a coating material. The light transmission part of the device transmits violet light having a wavelength within a range of 360 nm to 400 nm inclusive and thus treats myopia. Or, the myopia treatment device comprises a light emission part selected from a group consisting of lighting equipment, a display device, and a light irradiation device. The light emission part of the device emits violet light having a wavelength within a range of 360 nm to 400 nm inclusive and thus treats myopia.

摘要: Various systems and methods are implemented for controlling stimulus of a cell. One such method is implemented for optical stimulation of a cell expressing an NpHR ion pump. The method includes the step of providing a sequence of stimuli to the cell. Each stimulus increases the probability of depolarization events occurring in the cell. Light is provided to the cell to activate the expressed NpHR ion pump, thereby decreasing the probability of depolarization events occurring in the cell.

摘要: Certain examples involve controlling a circadian impact of a lighting system. For instance, a lighting system includes a first lighting fixture. The first lighting fixture includes at least one lighting element to illuminate a first space and a first controller to control a first light output of the at least one lighting element. Additionally, the lighting system includes a first background circadian system that provides a first modifying factor to the first controller of the first lighting fixture. The first modifying factor is associated with a first circadian impact profile that specifies a first circadian impact level in the first space. Further, the first controller of the first lighting fixture controls the first light output based on the first modifying factor.

摘要: Certain examples involve a circadian effect light fixture. The circadian effect light fixture includes a controller to receive a modifying factor based on a circadian impact profile. The modifying factor includes an indication of an intensity value, a correlated color temperature value, and a color value over a range of time. The circadian effect light fixture also includes a first lighting element controlled by the controller to produce a first light output having a first intensity, a first correlated color temperature, and a first color value. Further, the circadian effect light fixture includes a second lighting element controlled by the controller to produce a second light output having a second intensity, a second correlated color temperature, and a second color value. A combined light output of the first lighting element and the second lighting element tracks the modifying factor over the range of time.
