Abstract:
A data transmitting/receiving apparatus and method in which color gamut information is added to a teletext signal in a blanking interval so that a display device can recognize whether a color gamut has been extended, are provided. The apparatus includes a control unit which determines whether an image signal is a wide color gamut signal. A signal processing unit encodes color gamut information of the wide color gamut signal and allocates the color gamut information to a data region of a teletext interval if it is determined that the image signal is the wide color gamut signal. The signal processing unit transmits an image signal including a teletext packet in which the color gamut information is recorded.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for editing an image are provided. The present image editing method includes recording by coding edit information in a predetermined field of an original image frame, and displaying either the original image or an image edited based on the edit information. Accordingly, the edit information is recorded in a blank field of the original frame without damaging the original image, and thus, the image frame can be efficiently stored without wasting storage space.
Abstract:
A photographing apparatus, a motion estimating apparatus, an image compensating method, a motion estimating method, and a non-transitory computer-readable recording medium are provided. The photographing apparatus includes: an image sensing unit which continuously captures a plurality of images by using a rolling shutter method; and an image processor which compensates for a uniformly accelerated motion of the photographing apparatus by using the plurality of images.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and method for stably correcting handshake that occurs during a camera panning situation. In the method, movement information is accumulated by a predetermined unit for a predetermined period of time. A regression model is matched to the accumulated movement information so as to determine a situation as one of a panning mode and a handshake mode. Switching is performed between the handshake mode and the panning mode according to the size of a matching factor generated by the matched regression model. Handshake is corrected on the basis of a handshake correcting amount determined according to one of the handshake mode and the panning mode.
Abstract:
Provided is a method and apparatus for reducing flickers of an image sensor capable of reducing line flickers due to a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) sensor. The method includes: estimating a profile of a light source per line on the basis of information on image frames which are continuously input; filtering information of the estimated profile of the light source with a predetermined bandwidth; normalizing the filtered information of the estimated profile of the light source, and extracting a correction gain per line; and selecting the correction gain per line repeated in units of predetermined frames, and applying the correction gain to an input image signal.
Abstract:
Provided are a method and apparatus for generating a wide color gamut signal in an image capturing device, which can simplify a calculation process and minimize color distortion therein. The apparatus includes a gamma-correction unit gamma-correcting a picked-up image signal by using gamma curve information predetermined according to an output format; an interpolation unit interpolating the gamma-corrected image signal as a linear image signal which is to be expressed on a display; a color gamut conversion unit converting the interpolated image signal into a standard RGB signal by using a color conversion matrix; a color expansion unit expanding the standard RGB signal to a wide color gamut signal by using a gamut conversion matrix; and a signal correction unit correcting the wide color gamut signal by a predetermined correction gain value.
Abstract:
A motion estimation apparatus and method for estimating a global motion vector of an image due to hand trembling by using zoom information and focus information are provided. The motion estimation method includes: dividing a photographed image into a plurality of image blocks; determining a weight value for a motion vector of each of a plurality of image blocks based on focus information and zoom magnification information; predicting a motion vector for each image block; and estimating a global motion by applying the weight value determined for the motion vector for each image block to the predicted motion vector.
