    摘要： An apparatus for increasing the insulation value of a window system with a weep hole includes a flapper valve with a buoyant flap articulating relative to a non-moving portion. The flap is positioned on the window frame over the weep hole proximate the inside of the structure in which the window system is installed and the non-moving portion is attached to the window frame. The flap may be held against the frame around the weep hole by gravity and/or by the elastic memory of a portion of the flap, such as a plastic hinge. The flapper valve is closed when dry to diminish the flow of ex-filtration through the weep hole, but opens in response to being flooded with water due to the buoyancy of the flap, opening the weep hole and allowing the water to drain.

    摘要： A golf club is provided with a grip end having increased weight in order to improve the accuracy and control of the swinging of the golf club. The golf club has a head, a shaft having an outer end, and a balance point at a location intermediate the ends of the golf club. A weighted member is mounted to the golf club between the location of the balance point and the outer end of the golf club. The weighted member is in intimate contact with the inner surface of the hollow club shaft and has an enlarged head portion abutting the outer end of the shaft. The weighted member is encased in a flexible sleeve for absorbing thermal and mechanical stresses during use of the club. The weighted member moves the balance point of the golf club from the original location of the balance point to a new point that is between the original location and the outer end of the club.

    摘要： A process which can be used for producing thiolcarbamates is provided wherein the process comprises contacting a reaction mixture with a hydrocarbyl chloride such as, for example, benzyl chloride under a condition which is sufficient to produce a product mixture wherein the reaction mixture comprises carbonyl sulfide, an amine such as, for example, a secondary amine, a solvent; the solvent comprises a tertiary amine; and the reaction mixture, hydrocarbyl halide, and solvent are each present in an amount sufficient to effect the production of a thiolcarbamate. Optionally, the reaction mixture can also comprise a metal hydroxide. Further optionally, the product mixture can be contacted with a metal hydroxide if the reaction mixture does not comprise a metal hydroxide.
