Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a transmission mechanism for a base station antenna, and a base station antenna including the transmission mechanism. The transmission mechanism comprises: a worm gear unit, which is arranged on the first side of the reflector of the base station antenna and includes a worm driven by a motor and a worm gear meshed with the worm; a bevel gear pair unit, which is arranged on the second side of the reflection plate opposite to the first side and includes a first bevel gear and a second bevel gear meshed with each other, wherein the first bevel gear and the worm gear are coaxially installed on a first drive shaft; and at least one rack-and-pinion unit arranged on the second side of the reflection plate, wherein each rack-and-pinion unit includes a third gear and a rack element meshed with each other, all the third gears and the second bevel gears of the at least one rack-and-pinion unit are coaxially installed on a second drive shaft, and each rack element is fixed on the connecting rod of the phase shifter of the base station antenna for driving the connecting rod to move longitudinally. The transmission mechanism not only occupies a small total volume, but can also be installed in different spaces dispersedly, so that it can better adapt to the trend that the inner space of the base station antenna is getting smaller and more dispersed.

Abstract: A base station antenna includes: a reflector; a first radiator located at the front side of the reflector; an ground conductor located at the rear side of the reflector, the ground conductor forming a chamber with an opening forward; and a first stripline conductor mounted in the chamber configured to feed the first radiator, the first stripline conductor extending in a plane substantially parallel to the reflector; where the reflector and the ground conductor are configured such that the opening is capped by the reflector, and the reflector is grounded via the ground conductor, so that the first stripline conductor and the ground conductor and the reflector are configured as a first strip transmission line.

Abstract: A connector for connecting a coaxial cable to a printed circuit board includes a support portion that receives an end of the coaxial cable within a hollow structure thereof so that an exposed outer conductor of the coaxial cable is connected to an interior surface of a side wall of the hollow structure and so that the coaxial cable extends within the support portion perpendicular to the printed circuit board. The connector further includes an engagement portion that is connected to the support portion and configured to fix the connector to a first side of the printed circuit board, where the engagement portion is mounted above a via hole in the printed circuit board.

Abstract: Base station antennas are provided herein. A base station antenna includes first and second wiper phase shifters. In some embodiments, the base station antenna includes first and second wiper supports that are on the first and second wiper phase shifters, respectively, and the first wiper support includes a portion that is beside and interlocked with a portion of the second wiper support. In some embodiments, the base station antenna includes a first linkage that is on the second wiper phase shifter, and a second linkage that intersects, and is coupled to, the first linkage and is configured to adjust the first and second wiper phase shifters via the first linkage. In some embodiments, the first and second wiper phase shifters are a mirror-image pair of wiper phase shifters. Related methods of operating a base station antenna are also provided.
