Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a composition for a positive electrode having high binding properties and high flexibility. A composition for a positive electrode, comprising: a graft copolymer-based resin; a polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin, wherein the graft copolymer-based resin includes a graft copolymer in which a monomer, having (meth)acrylonitrile as a main component, is graft-copolymerized with a polyvinyl alcohol. The graft copolymer-based resin optionally further includes at least one of a (meth)acrylonitrile-based non-graft polymer and a polyvinyl alcohol homopolymer. And, a slurry for a positive electrode comprising the composition. A positive electrode comprising a metal foil and a coating film of the slurry. The composition preferably has a mass ratio of the graft copolymer-based resin and the polyvinylidene fluoride resin, which is: graft copolymer-based resin/polyvinylidene fluoride-based resin=2/8 to 8/2.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a composition having flexibility. A composition comprising a graft copolymer in which a monomer, including a (meth) acrylonitrile and a (meth) acrylic acid ester as a main monomer, graft-copolymerizes to a backbone polymer having a polyvinyl alcohol, wherein the polyvinyl alcohol has a saponification degree of 50 to 100 mol %, a content of the composition of the polyvinyl alcohol is 5 to 50% by mass, a total content of the (meth) acrylonitrile monomer unit and the (meth) acrylic acid ester monomer unit is 50 to 95% by mass, a content of the (meth) acrylonitrile monomer unit in a total of 100% by mass of the (meth) acrylonitrile monomer unit and the (meth)acrylate monomer unit is 20 to 95% by mass, a content of the (meth)acrylate monomer unit in a total of 100% by mass of the (meth) acrylonitrile monomer unit and the (meth)acrylate monomer unit is 5 to 80% by mass, the (meth) acrylic acid ester is a monomer whose homopolymer has a glass transition temperature of 150 to 300 K.

Abstract: A binder composition for positive electrode with superior oxidation resistance is provided. A slurry for positive electrode, a positive electrode, and a lithium ion secondary battery manufactured by using the binder composition is provided. A binder composition for positive electrode including a graft copolymer in which a monomer containing acrylonitrile as a main component is graft copolymerized with polyvinyl alcohol having an average degree of polymerization of 300 to 3000 and a saponification degree of 70 to 100 mol %, is provided. Further, a slurry for positive electrode includes the binder composition for positive electrode, a positive electrode active material, and a conductive assistant. In addition, a lithium ion secondary battery is manufactured using a positive electrode made with the slurry for positive electrode and a positive electrode.
