Abstract: Provided is a phthalocyanine compound which has a green hue without having a halogen atom, and exhibits high luminance and an excellent coloring force at the time of being used for preparing a green pixel unit of a color filter. The phthalocyanine compound of the present invention has green hues without having a halogen atom, and exhibits high luminance and an excellent coloring force at the time of being used for preparing the green pixel unit of the color filter. In addition, the phthalocyanine compound can be used not only for the color filter, but also as a colorant for a wide range of applications as a general colorant such as printing ink, paint, colored plastic, toner, and ink for ink jet.

Abstract: There is provided a liquid crystal display device which prevents a decrease in the voltage holding ratio (VHR) of a liquid crystal layer and an increase in ion density (ID) therein and which overcomes problems of defective display such as dropouts, uneven alignment, and screen burn-in. The liquid crystal display device of the present invention prevents a decrease in the voltage holding ratio (VHR) of a liquid crystal layer and an increase in ion density (ID) therein and reduces defective display such as screen burn-in; hence, such a liquid crystal display device is properly used as liquid crystal display devices of a VA mode and PSVA mode which involve active matrix driving and can be applied to liquid crystal display devices of liquid crystal TV sets, monitors, mobile phones, and smartphones.

Abstract: There is provided a liquid crystal display device that may limit a reduction in the voltage holding ratio (VHR) of a liquid crystal layer and an increase in the ion density (ID) in the liquid crystal layer and thereby address issues of faulty display such as white missing pixels, alignment inconsistencies, and burn-in. The liquid crystal display device according to the present invention, which may limit a reduction in the voltage holding ratio (VHR) of a liquid crystal layer and an increase in the ion density (ID) in the liquid crystal layer and thereby reduce the risk of faulty display such as burn-in, can be suitably used, in particular, as an IPS-mode or FFS-mode liquid crystal display device for active-matrix driving and may also be used as a liquid crystal display device for liquid crystal display televisions, monitors, mobile phones, smart phones, or the like.

Abstract: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device that allows a reduction in a voltage holding ratio (VHR) of a liquid crystal layer and an increase in an ion density (ID) in the liquid crystal layer to be suppressed and thereby addresses issues of faulty display such as white missing pixels, alignment inconsistencies, and burn-in. The liquid crystal display device according to the present invention, having a feature of suppressing the reduction in a voltage holding ratio (VHR) and the increase in an ion density (ID) in a liquid crystal layer and thereby suppressing occurrence of faulty display such as burn-in, is particularly useful as VA-mode and PSVA-mode liquid crystal display devices for active-matrix driving and may be used for liquid crystal display devices such as a liquid crystal TV, a monitor, a mobile phone, and a smart phone.

Abstract: Provided are a green pigment composition for a color filter having high brightness and wide color reproduction range in a liquid crystal display, and a color filter formed including the same. A halogenated zinc phthalocyanine containing an average of 10 to 14 halogen atoms per molecule in which an average of 8 to 12 are bromine atoms and an average of 2 to 5 are chlorine atoms is used. As a result, film thickness is less than when using Pigment Green 7 and, thus, a color filter with high brightness and wide color reproduction range can be provided.
