Abstract: A method for producing a halogenated zinc phthalocyanine pigment includes a step of forming a halogenated zinc phthalocyanine crude pigment into a pigment. The halogenated zinc phthalocyanine crude pigment is obtained by depositing a halogenated zinc phthalocyanine, which is synthesized by using a compound that generates an acid by reacting with water, and the aforementioned step includes a pretreatment step of dry-crushing the halogenated zinc phthalocyanine crude pigment by using an attritor and then washing the dry-crushed halogenated zinc phthalocyanine crude pigment with water.

Abstract: There is provided a novel halogenated zinc phthalocyanine pigment for a color filter, which can form a green color filter having excellent contrast and high luminance. A halogenated zinc phthalocyanine pigment for a color filter shows, in a Raman spectrum, a peak intensity of 3.0% or more at 716±2.2 cm−1 when a peak intensity at 650±10 cm−1 is regarded as 100%.

Abstract: Provided are a green pigment composition for a color filter having high brightness and wide color reproduction range in a liquid crystal display, and a color filter formed including the same. A halogenated zinc phthalocyanine containing an average of 10 to 14 halogen atoms per molecule in which an average of 8 to 12 are bromine atoms and an average of 2 to 5 are chlorine atoms is used. As a result, film thickness is less than when using Pigment Green 7 and, thus, a color filter with high brightness and wide color reproduction range can be provided.
