摘要: A gas discharge device constructed out of one or more plasma-shells with an organic luminescent substance located on an external portion of each plasma-shell, the organic substance being excited by photons from a gas discharge within the plasma-shell. In one embodiment, the plasma-shell is made of an inorganic luminescent substance. The external organic luminescent substance may contain or be combined with an inorganic substance that may also be a luminescent substance. The plasma-shell may contain both inorganic and organic substances.

摘要: Plasma-shells filled with ionizable gas are positioned on or within a rigid, flexible, or semi-flexible substrate. Each plasma-shell is electrically connected to one or more electrical conductors such as electrodes with an electrically conductive bonding substance to form an electrical connection to each electrode. The electrically conductive bonding substance may comprise a pad connected to the plasma-shell and/or an electrode.

摘要: Molybdenum composites containing silicon and boron for environmental resistance are combined so as to minimize the silicon solid solution in the molybdenum phase. The composites include ratios of molybdenum, silicon, and boron to form three phase mixtures of molybdenum, A15 (Mo3Si), and T2 (Mo5SiB2) or molybdenum, SiO2, and T2 (Mo5SiB2). Beneficial additives, including manganese and strontium aluminosilicate, are included to improve the composite's properties. Manufacturing processes to produce these composites as either powders or solid parts are included.
