Abstract: An electrical connector comprising one or more housings and a carrier adapted to receive the housing(s). The housing comprises a flexible lance adapted to flex to maintain an electrical contact in the receptacle. The carrier comprises a protrusion. When the lance is in its unlock condition, the lance cooperates with the protrusion to prevent the housing from reaching the assembled position with respect to the carrier. When the lance is in its lock condition, the lance does not cooperate with the protrusion.

Abstract: The invention relates to a connector for motor vehicles. By means of the invention the device for assuring the position of the contacts is prevented from being accidentally displaced from its shipping position to its use position. To this end, the device for assuring the position of the contacts is locked in the shipping position against a stop. On insertion of one or more contacts into its respective cavity, a direct interaction between this contact or these contacts and the device for assuring the position of the contacts causes escape from the stop. The device for assuring the position of the contacts can then be displaced from its shipping position to its use position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a connector having a lever for facilitating the connection. The connector comprises a housing on which a lever is rotatably mounted between an open position, in which a counter-connector may be coupled to the connector in one direction of coupling, and a closed position, in which the connector and the counter-connector are locked together. The lever is maintained in the closed position by a lock that is connected to the housing with the help of two tabs, each extending respectively from the lock towards the housing, in a direction perpendicular to the direction of coupling. In order to disengage the lever and the lock, the lock is displaced towards the housing by a translation perpendicular to the direction of coupling.

Abstract: An electrical connector assembly including a first connector having a first casing and a first contact and a second contact, and a second connector having a second casing and a first and a second contact. The first and second connectors are configured to transition between an unassembled condition and an assembled condition to connect the first contacts together and the second contacts. The second connector supports a connector position assurance (CPA) element. In the unassembled condition, the CPA element abuts against a surface borne by one of connectors, thereby preventing movement of the CPA element relative to the second connector between a safety and an active position. In the assembled condition, the CPA element does not abut against the surface and is movable relative to the second connector between the safety and active positions, so as to connect the contact carried by the CPA element with the corresponding contact.
