A method of controlling an energy storage and an energy storage controlling apparatus are disclosed. The method may include dividing an energy storage of large capacity into virtual energy storages corresponding to respective users based on a required energy amount and a period of use of an energy storage of each of the users, and integrally controlling, for each time, the virtual energy storages corresponding to the respective users based on a management schedule of the energy storage of each of the users.

Further, the apparatus includes a simulation preprocessing unit configured to preprocess various energy-related data for executing the energy saving measure to data for a simulation; a building energy simulator configured to perform a building energy simulation using the preprocessed data; and an evaluation result display unit configured to display the amount of energy that is saved in accordance with the energy saving measure.

A method for provisioning home energy management services includes supplying a service user with a list of home energy management services; and transmitting a request to subscribe to a service to a home energy management service provider server on a communication network. Further, the method includes performing an authentication with the home energy management service provider server and receiving a secret key for encryption and decryption of a message that is transmitted and received for the service; searching for home energy devices on a home network and transmitting a list of searched home energy devices to the home energy management service provider server; and sending the message received from the home energy management service provider server to the same home energy devices.

Provided are an apparatus, method, and system for relaying trading of a distributed energy resource. A distributed energy resource trading relay method performed at a distributed energy resource trading relay apparatus may include receiving an auction request for a plurality of distributed energy resource chunks; calculating an availability probability and a trading probability of each of the auction-requested distributed energy resource chunks; assigning a weight to each of the distributed energy resource chunks based on the calculated availability probability and trading probability; and determining a purchaser having bid for distributed energy resource chunks corresponding to a greatest weight sum as a successful bidder in response to a plurality of purchasers bidding for the distributed energy resource chunks. Since a distributed energy resource may be divided based on a size available at a consumer and thereby traded, the availability of the distributed energy resource may be enhanced.
