Abstract: Various embodiments of systems, apparatus, and/or methods are described for identifying a preferred sporting event. A receiving device receives viewing preferences from a user, sports data from a sports data provider, and programming information for candidate sporting events from a content provider. The receiving device then analyzes the programming information for one or more preferred sporting events based at least in part on the user's viewing preferences and the sports data. The user may then be notified of the preferred sporting event.
