Abstract: A sliding door is operated automatically by means of a nut and threaded rod which are driven by a reversible motor and constitute a reversible-action motion converter. The motor supply circuit comprises a switchable speed-reduction resistor, a protective resistor in series with the motor and a switchable voltage-limiter which can be connected in shunt across the motor terminals at the end of travel of the door-leaf.
