Abstract:
A check valve assembly includes multiple components. for coupling together first and second pipes, and has multiple components, including a check valve, a check valve housing, a check valve body adapter and a locking ring. A mating surface coupling between a check valve body adapter inlet mating surface and a check valve housing outlet mating surface together with a flange coupling between a check valve body adapter inlet coupling flange and a locking ring inwardly extending and circumferentially extending flange combines to form a check valve assembly union U that allows the multiple components of the check valve assembly to freely orient and align when the check valve assembly is threaded and coupled to the first and second pipes.
Abstract:
A multi-stage pump featuring different stages configured to pump a fluid from a pump suction and to a pump discharge; and a center bushing configured between the different stages, having a center bushing side configured with pockets to balance axial forces between the different stages of the multistage pump. The pockets are configured as curved rib pockets, extruded circle or circular pockets, or full length rib pockets.
Abstract:
An opposing impeller arrangement, for using in an opposed impeller pump, features a combination of a stage 1 impeller arrangement and a stage 2 impeller arrangement having opposing impellers and different impeller and wear ring arrangements. The stage 1 impeller arrangement may include a stage 1 impeller and a stage 1 wear ring, and be configured to receive an input fluid flow and a pump stage 1 fluid flow. The stage 2 impeller arrangement may include a stage 2 impeller and a stage 2 wear ring configured to receive the pump stage 1 fluid flow and provide a pump stage 2 fluid flow, and may also include a stage 2 wear ring undercut configured between the stage 2 impeller and the stage 2 wear ring to offset generated axial thrust in the opposing impeller pump, based upon the different impeller and wear ring arrangements.
Abstract:
A motor control circuit is provided for connecting or disconnecting an AC voltage to an AC motor, having a switch having two switch contacts, configured to respond to a process variable and move between open and closed switch contact positions to connect or disconnect the AC voltage to the AC motor; and a snubber circuit arranged across the switch contacts in parallel with the AC motor, and configured to respond to motor inductance when the switch is moved between the open and closed switch contact positions, and provide arc suppression in the switch by dissipating energy stored in the motor inductance. The snubber circuit may include a network having a resistor connected in series with a capacitor, or a metal oxide varistor, or a transient voltage suppressor.
