Abstract:
A small windmill is provided upstream of a damper in an air duct. When air flows in the duct it rotates the windmill. The windmill shaft is connected by a cable to the damper operator through a transmission means, such that, as the shaft turns, it takes-up the cable an opens the damper.
Abstract:
A method of mounting windmill blades their enhance performance is disclosed. The blades have a transverse cross-sectional shape having a predominately flat chord section and are mounted such that the chord section lies in a plane that is substantially at 90 degrees to the axis of the shaft upon which they are mounted.
Abstract:
Building an itinerary includes receiving consumer descriptors at a consumer agent operating on behalf of a consumer. Recommended services are identified from a number of services using a service agent operating as a service finder. The recommended services are identified in accordance with the consumer descriptors. A timeline and the recommended services are presented. The following is repeated until a selection of service offerings has been completed in order to build an itinerary of events: determining a selection of a service offering of the recommended services as an event for the itinerary; indicating available times of the selected service offering; and determining a selection of an available time of the selected service offering.
Abstract:
A door or hatch capable of moving between an open and closed position and normally biased to revert to one of those positions is retained by a manually operable retaining means. A release means is provided to automatically release the door or hatch to thereby allow it to return to its biased position, automatically. The release means is operable in normal ambient temperature for automatically releasing the door or hatch and operable under fire conditions for automatically releasing the door or hatch.
Abstract:
Processing an expense report includes receiving transaction identifiers at an expense report agent, where a transaction identifier corresponds to a transaction. The expense report requests reimbursement for any number of transactions. Transaction information corresponding to the transaction identifiers is automatically requested from any number of retailer systems. The transaction information is received from the retailer systems, and is provided in a machine-readable format. The transaction information is inserted into the expense report to request the reimbursement for the transactions, and the expense report is evaluated to determine the reimbursement.
