Abstract:
The present application provides a combustor. The combustor may include an air flow path with a flow of air therein. A flow obstruction may be positioned within the air flow path and cause a wake or a recirculation zone downstream thereof. A number of fuel injectors may be positioned downstream of the flow obstruction. The fuel injectors may inject a flow of fuel into the air flow path such that the flows of fuel and air in the wake or the recirculation zone do not exceed a flammability limit.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a gas turbine engine system having a plurality of combustors, wherein a first combustor includes one or more fuel nozzles and one or more fuel injectors positioned downstream from the fuel nozzles. The gas turbine engine may also include a first valve disposed along a fuel delivery line between a fuel circuit and the first combustor to adjust a first flow of the fuel to the first combustor. The gas turbine engine may also include a second valve disposed along a fuel delivery line between the first valve and at least one of the one or more fuel injectors to adjust a second flow of the fuel to at least one of the one or more fuel injectors.
Abstract:
A fuel supply system supplies fuel to a plurality of combustion sectors of a combustion section of a gas turbine. Each of the combustion sectors includes at least two combustors. The fuel supply system generally includes a fuel distribution manifold that is in fluid communication with a fuel supply. A first flow path is defined between the fuel distribution manifold and a first combustion sector. A second flow path is defined between the fuel distribution manifold and a second combustion sector.

Abstract:
Systems and methods for automating commissioning of a gas turbine combustion control system are provided. According to one embodiment of the disclosure, a system may include a controller and a processor communicatively coupled to the controller. The processor may be configured to run a gas turbine under a plurality of operational conditions while within predetermined combustion operational boundaries. The processor may be further configured to automatically collect operational data associated with the gas turbine while the gas turbine is running and store the operational data. Based at least in part on the operational data, a set of constants for one or more predetermined combustion transfer functions is generated. The set of constants is stored in the gas turbine combustion control system to be used during auto-tune operations of the gas turbine.
