摘要: A cylindrical burner apparatus and method which produce low NOx emissions and low noise levels without being dependent upon a blower, or natural draft, for providing air flow or flue gas recirculation. A flow of combustion air is induced into the initial tube pass of the burner by discharging a gas fuel from a plurality of discharge ports located in the initial tube pass. At the same time, a flow of recycled flue gas is induced through a bypass duct between a subsequent tube pass of the burner and the initial tube pass by discharging one or more jets of gas fuel through the bypass duct.

摘要: A fuel nozzle including vortex generating features for use in a combustion turbine engine is provided. An array of inner pre-mixing conduits (20) extends between an inlet end (14) and an outlet end (16) of the nozzle. An array of outer pre-mixing conduits (22) may be disposed radially outwardly relative to the inner pre-mixing conduits (20). A fuel-directing tube (24) includes fuel-directing arms (26) structured to direct fuel flow into the outer pre-mixing conduits (22) to be mixed with a flow of air. The fuel-directing arms include a bluff structural arrangement (30) that may be disposed upstream of fuel injection locations (32, 32′) into the outer pre-mixing conduits (22). The proposed nozzle is believed to provide superior micro-mixing capability, such as by increasing the depth of penetration of jets of fuel in a cross-flow of air, and/or formation of vortices in a wake zone downstream from the vortex generating features.

摘要: A fuel nozzle for use in a gas turbine includes a pre-mix flow passage for directing a flow segment of a flow of a working fluid through the fuel nozzle. A first swirler vane and a second swirler vane extend within the pre-mix flow passage. The first swirler vane provides a first wake region within the flow segment. The second swirler vane provides a second wake region within the flow segment. A fuel injection peg is disposed downstream from the first swirler vane and the second swirler vane. The fuel injection peg is positioned within the flow segment between the first wake region and the second wake region.

摘要: A low NOx burner for installation on a furnace wall has an elongated tube connected to a combustion air supply, the furnace side end of which mounts a combustion air spinner that is spaced from the furnace wall. A plurality of air ports extend through the wall into the combustion chamber. Downstream ends of the air ports are spaced from the furnace wall as well as from the spinner, and they are configured to bias the discharged air flow towards the spinner. A plurality of first fuel gas spuds with fuel gas discharge orifices arranged about the spinner and discharges fuel gas into the combustion chamber downstream of the spinner. A second fuel gas spud is disposed in pockets between adjacent pairs of air ports which are closed against the furnace wall so that no combustion air flows through the pockets. The third gas spuds are placed inside the air ports.

摘要: The present invention relates to a burner for a combustion chamber of a gas turbine plant, with an injection device for introducing gaseous fuel into the burner. The injection device has a body which is arranged in the burner and which has at least one nozzle for introducing gaseous fuel into the burner. The body is configured as a streamlined body which has a streamlined cross-sectional profile and which extends with a longitudinal direction transversely with respect to a main flow direction prevailing in the burner. The at least one nozzle has its outlet orifice at an trailing edge of the streamlined body.

摘要: A combustor assembly for a turbomachine includes combustor housing and a flow sleeve arranged between the combustor housing and a combustor liner. The flow sleeve defines a first annular fluid passage, and a second annular fluid passage. A quaternary cap is mounted to the combustor housing. The quaternary cap includes a first fluid plenum fluidly connected to the first annular fluid passage, a second fluid plenum fluidly connected to the second annular fluid passage, and a plurality of vanes fluidly connected to each of the first and second fluid plenums. Each of the plurality of vanes includes a body portion having a first fluid channel coupled to the first fluid plenum, and a second fluid channel coupled to the second fluid plenum. The first fluid channel extends completely through the body portion and the second fluid channel extends partially into the body portion.

摘要: According to various embodiments, a system includes a fuel nozzle assembly. The fuel nozzle assembly includes a hub, a shroud disposed about the hub, a flow sleeve disposed about the shroud, and an air flow path extending between the flow sleeve and the shroud in an upstream direction toward an opening region between the shroud and the hub, wherein the air flow path extends between the hub and the shroud in a downstream direction from the opening region toward an outlet region of the fuel nozzle assembly. The fuel nozzle assembly also includes a fuel flow path extending to at least one fuel port along the air flow path, and a flow guide disposed along the air flow path in the opening region, wherein the flow guide includes a first guide portion configured to guide an air flow radially outward from the hub toward the shroud.
