Abstract: A disk drive module is provided herein. The disk drive module includes a frame, a keyed member, a front aperture, and a back aperture. The frame includes a top wall, a bottom wall, and a pair of side walls therebetween. The keyed member is formed along at least one of the pair of side walls. The front aperture to receive a drive carrier. The back aperture to interchangeably receive at least one back end selected from a hot plug back end and a non-hot plug back end.

Abstract: A system is provided herein. The system includes a support member and a latch mechanism. The support member includes a positioning member. The latch mechanism is connected to the support member. The latch mechanism includes a handle and a retention latch. The handle is formed to rotate about an axis. Rotation of the handle to shift engagement of the handle with the positioning member between an engaged position and an unengaged position. The retention latch to engage with a chassis and secure the support member therein. The retention latch connects to the handle. In the engaged position, the handle to connect to the positioning member and the retention latch to engage with the chassis. In the unengaged position, the handle and the positioning member to disconnect and the handle to displace the retention latch to release engagement of the retention latch with the chassis.

Abstract: A hard drive carrier and a method for removing a hard drive carrier from an enclosure are provided herein. In one example, the hard drive carrier includes a platform located in a center position on a front face of the hard drive carrier. The hard drive carrier includes a first pinch point and a second pinch point, where the second pinch point is located opposite of the first pinch point. The hard drive carrier also includes a first tab disposed adjacent to the first pinch point and a second tab, where the second tab is located opposite of the first tab.
