An air-tight seal between two damper blades, or between a damper blade and a fixed abutment, comprises a strip of rubberized fabric 23 secured to one blade and engageable by the other blade and provided with holes 24 on the upstream side of the louvre so that the air flow will inflate the seal when the louvre is closed. A leaf spring 30 may be enclosed by the strip as an additional support. Alternatively, the strip 23 may enclose the fixed abutment. The louvres are connected together by a linkage and may be operated by a motor.
