    Abstract: A method includes obtaining one or more modified properties associated with at least one of an alarm to be generated by an industrial process control and automation system and a process controller within the industrial process control and automation system. The method also includes obtaining historical data associated with actual operation of the control and automation system. The method further includes simulating operation of one or more components of the control and automation system using the one or more modified properties. The method also includes identifying one or more simulated alarms generated during the simulated operation of the one or more components using the one or more modified properties. In addition, the method includes outputting the one or more simulated alarms. The method could also include receiving one or more approvals of the one or more modified properties and providing the one or more modified properties to the process controller.

    Abstract: Approaches for managing alarms and alarm system performance in an industrial system are described. The industrial system may include an operation technology network (OTN) which may be communicatively coupled to an information technology network (ITN) through a unidirectional gateway which allows data transfer from the OTN to ITN, but not vice versa. The approaches as described enable transmission of event data pertaining to events or operations that may be underway in the factory site where the industrial system is installed. In addition, the present approaches also enable collection and transmission of attribute data pertaining to one or more operational parameters of control systems (DCS, SIS, PLC's, SCADA), to the ITN. The event data and the attribute data may then be processed by any module(s) that may be implemented within the ITN to generate various event related insights and insights into metrics of the alarm management system or other systems present within the OTN.

An embodiment operates by receiving information about a status of each of a plurality of alarm configurations monitored by a control system.     Abstract: Various embodiments described herein relate to alarm analytics for providing prescriptive recommendations of configuration parameters for industrial process alarms.     Abstract: Example techniques to control operations in an industrial facility is described. In an operation, operating parameters of an equipment from amongst a plurality of equipments installed in the industrial facility are monitored. A range of values is predefined for each of the operating parameters of the equipment. An operating parameter of the equipment that deviates from the corresponding predefined range of values is identified. A dataset is queried to identify past instances of deviation in the operating parameter that are within a specified range of deviation to the deviation in the operating parameter of the equipment. A corrective action is selected from amongst at least one corrective action in the dataset. The corrective action is implemented to correct the deviation in the operating parameter of the equipment.
