摘要: A method monitors cardiac arrest during physical exercise and consequently activates a rescue request. The method continuously measures a user's heart rate to determine a heart rate in a sequence of predetermined time intervals, by a heart rate measurement device worn by the user; then, generating a signal representative of the heart rate detected in each interval. A motion sensor detects a user's motion condition and generates a motion signal representative of the motion detected. A portable processor receives the heart rate signal and communicates with the heart rate measurement device and with the motion sensor; then processes the signal representative of heart rate, to recognize a possible cardiac arrest condition. The processor processes the motion signal to detect a possible stillness condition. The processor activates a rescue request if both a cardiac arrest condition and a stillness condition have been recognized. A system executes the method.

摘要: A system for detecting and discriminating the severity of a fall includes a mobile device configured to communicate a network, a notification module, and a wearable device configured to communicate with the mobile device, the wearable device including a fall monitor and an activity log resident on the wearable device, where the fall monitor is configured to record detected movement on the activity log. The notification module is configured to effect a selectable setting of a rate of communication between the mobile device and the wearable device based on at least part of a predetermined pattern of a fall discriminator within the activity log, where the selectable setting defines a predetermined period of communication between the mobile device and the wearable device. The fall discriminator is configured to determine when the activity log includes a notable fall event based on the predetermined pattern.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and a system for generating and transmitting an emergency call signal. In this case, in the event of a dangerous situation involving a road vehicle, an emergency call signal having a minimum set of data (MSD) is independently generated in coded form by a base module (1) arranged on the road vehicle and is transmitted by means of a first telecommunications connection (3a, 3b) to a central switching unit (2). The emergency call signal is then decoded by the central switching unit (2) and a text file is generated, from this information and further information stored in the central switching unit, in a language which is conventional in an area defined by the position information. This language-dependent text file is converted into an audio file, and the audio file is transmitted to the base module (1) via the first telecommunications connection (3a, 3b), and an emergency call center (6) is then contacted by the base module (1) by establishing a second telecommunications connection (4), and the audio file is played at least once, or a further telecommunications connection to the emergency call center (6) is established by the central switching unit, via which the audio file is transmitted and is played at least once in the emergency call center (6).

摘要: Various embodiments of wireless ambient sensor unit are presented. The sensor unit may include a wireless transceiver configured to transmit sensor data and to receive instructions. The sensor unit may include a sensor configured to measure an ambient condition. The sensor unit may include a controller in communication with the wireless transceiver and the sensor. The controller may be configured to compare data measured about the ambient condition to a stored threshold while the wireless ambient sensor unit is functioning in a low-power mode. The controller may be configured to exit the low-power mode in response to the comparison of the data with the stored threshold. The controller may be configured to cause the data measured about the ambient condition to be transmitted by the wireless transceiver as one or more messages in response to the comparison to the stored threshold.

摘要: An alarm method for risk of aggression to a user is disclosed. The method includes collecting information on the user's heart reaction to physical efforts; collecting information on the level of bradycardia or tachycardia of the user; determining reference values relating to the user's heart rate beyond which the alarm has to be activated, measuring parameters relating to the user's heart rate; and activating the alarm every time the measured parameters exceed the reference values. A portable alarm device implementing the method includes: a heart rate meter; a control unit; a memory circuit; a program computer product executed by the control unit in order to collect the information on the user and determine the reference values relating to the user's heart rate beyond which the alarm has to be activated; and alarm means for the rescue request.

摘要: A wearable mobile device executes a personal safety service client application to detect a triggering event indicating an emergency, wherein the triggering event is detected from user input received by the wearable mobile device. The application determines a location of the wearable mobile device, the location of the wearable mobile device corresponding to a location of the emergency, and provides an indication of the emergency and the location of the emergency to a personal safety service server. The personal safety service server sends a notification message via a push notification displayed on user devices of a predefined group of emergency contacts indicating the occurrence of the emergency and periodically receives updates to the location of the wearable mobile device from the personal safety service client application.

摘要: Methods, systems, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for processing alarm signals are presented. In some embodiments, a mobile device may be registered with a security system that is installed at a premises. Subsequently, an alarm trigger associated with the security system may be received. Based on receiving the alarm trigger, the location of the mobile device may be determined. A response to the alarm trigger then may be determined based on the location of the mobile device.

摘要: Hazard detection systems and methods according to embodiments described herein are operative to enable a user to interface with the hazard detection system by performing a touchless gesture. The touchless gesture can be performed in a vicinity of the hazard detection system without requiring physical access to the hazard detection system. This enables the user to interact with the hazard detection system even if it is out of reach. The hazard detection system can detect gestures and perform an appropriate action responsive to the detected gesture. In one embodiment, the hazard detection system can silence its audible alarm or pre-emptively turn off its audible alarm in response to a detected gesture. Gestures can be detected using one or more ultrasonic sensors, or gestures can be detected using a motion detector in combination with one or more ultrasonic sensors.

摘要: A method for verification of alarms is disclosed. The method involves receiving an alarm signal trigger associated with an alarm signal, receiving video data from a premise associated with the alarm signal, rapidly analyzing the video data to test for the existence a significant event, and when a significant event exists, sending a representation of a segment of interest of the video data, the segment of interest being associated with the significant event, to a user.
