    Abstract: A method and a device for multicast packet processing are disclosed. The method includes: A first network device obtains a data packet; and the first network device generates a first multicast packet and a second multicast packet based on the data packet. The first multicast packet includes first iFIT information and a first multi-level flow identifier. The second multicast packet includes the first iFIT information and a second multi-level flow identifier. The first multi-level flow identifier and the second multi-level flow identifier are different, to identify different forwarding paths of the generated first multicast packet and second multicast packet respectively. In the method, in a point-to-multipoint multicast data flow transmission scenario, a plurality of multicast data flows can be identified, to perform iFIT detection on each of the plurality of data flows, so as to implement packet loss and delay detection, path restoration, and the like for the multicast data flows.

    Abstract: In a detection packet transmission method, a first network device receives a first packet, where the first packet includes a detection header indicating a network device to detect, based on the detection header, transmission performance of a service flow in which the first packet is located, and the first network device is an edge network device in a first network domain. The first network device obtains a second packet based on the first packet, where the second packet includes processing identification information and the detection header, the processing identification information indicates a second network device to process the detection header, and the second network device is a next-hop device of the first network device on a transmission path of the service flow. The first network device sends the second packet to the second network device.

    Abstract: An ingress device determines a service packet belonging to a target service flow, obtains transmission quality information based on a detection packet, and reports a flow identifier and the transmission quality information to a controller. The controller determines transmission quality of the target service flow based on the flow identifier and the transmission quality information. The detection packet is at least one service packet belonging to the target service flow, and meets any one or a combination of a plurality of the following conditions: the service packet is transmitted through a target transmission network, the service packet is transmitted on a target transmission path, the service packet is received through a target port of the ingress device, the service packet is transmitted through an egress device, and the service packet has a target priority.

    Abstract: A method for advertising a bit error includes that an intermediate node in a first tunnel detects that a bit error rate of a packet sent through the first tunnel exceeds a threshold; and the intermediate node sends a first packet to an egress node in the first tunnel through the first tunnel, where the first packet indicates that a bit error has occurred in the first tunnel, the first packet further instructs the egress node to send a second packet to an ingress node in the first tunnel, and the second packet indicates that the bit error has occurred in the first tunnel. The foregoing method can be used to transfer bit error information, so as to implement associated protection switching of services.
