Abstract: A method for mounting a preformed seal on a substrate comprises the steps of providing the preformed seal at a predetermined position relative to the substrate, at least a part of the preformed seal being spaced at a distance from the substrate; arranging a mold in contact with the substrate and the preformed seal, wherein the mold holds the preformed seal at the predetermined position and wherein the mold, the substrate and the preformed seal delimit a mold cavity. Further, the method comprises at least partially filling the mold cavity with a solidifiable composition, wherein the solidifiable composition is in contact with the substrate and the preformed seal bridging the distance; and solidifying the solidifiable composition, whereby the solidifiable composition forms a molded part adhering to the preformed seal and to the substrate. The preformed seal and the solidifiable composition are configured to adhere to each other.

Abstract: A transparent roof panel assembly for a vehicle roof comprises a panel and a light source. The panel comprises a first transparent layer having a first main surface and a second main surface opposite the first main surface, a second transparent layer arranged adjacent to the first main surface and a light outcoupling pattern arranged between the first main surface of the first transparent layer and the second transparent layer. The pattern is configured for scattering at least a part of the light from the light source such that light exits the first transparent layer through the second main surface. The pattern comprises scattering particles arranged in a transparent carrier. The particles are pigments in a white ink having a concentration of 0.01-1.5% by weight. The pattern may form an image having a contour formed by a full surface printing, a width being similar to dots forming the image.

Abstract: A roof assembly for covering an opening in a vehicle roof comprises a transparent panel and a lighting assembly. The lighting assembly comprises an illumination pattern arranged on the transparent panel. The illumination pattern comprises at least one low-density pattern element. Such low-density pattern element comprises a light-scattering area and transparent areas. The transparent areas are enclosed within the light-scattering area. A surface area of the light-scattering area of the low-density pattern element is smaller than a sum of a surface area of the enclosed transparent areas.
