Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel having a display area overlapping pixels; a light source device located on a lateral side of the display panel and configured to emit first light to a first side surface side of the display panel to cause the first light to travel toward a second side surface side; a reflective member located on the second side surface and configured to reflect the first light as second light from the second side surface side toward the first side surface side; and a drive circuit configured to calculate an output gradation value for each pixel based on a light quantity obtained by summing a first light quantity of the first light and a second light quantity of the second light at the pixel and an input gradation value of an image signal and apply a voltage corresponding to the output gradation value to the pixel.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel provided with a pixel and a display controller configured to drive the pixel based on a pixel signal for displaying an image in a predetermined gradation to display the image. Abstract: According to an aspect, a display device includes: a display panel having a display area provided with pixels; a dimming panel disposed so as to face the display panel and having a dimming area provided with dimming pixels; and a light source configured to emit light that travels from the dimming panel toward the display panel. When a pixel among the pixels is controlled to be lit up in white, blurring processing is applied so as to cause more than one of the dimming pixels including a dimming pixel overlapping the pixel to transmit light, and light from the light source is transmitted through the blurring area and the pixel. The blurring area is determined based on a positional misalignment with respect to a predetermined positional relation between the display area and the dimming area.

Abstract: A display device includes: a light source device including a first light source, a second light source, and a third light source; a display; a storage configured to store data indicating a lighting pattern of the light source device; a controller configured to control the lighting pattern based on the input data and the data. The controller is configured to control, when the color reproduction changes, the lighting pattern based on a difference between the lighting pattern for the input data before the change and the lighting pattern for the input data after the change.
