摘要: A module assembly includes a module cover including a bottom wall, a front wall, a rear wall and two opposite side walls defining a receiving cavity therebetween, an electrical connector and a printed circuit board both received in the receiving cavity and a cover member covering the receiving cavity. The module cover has a mating portion with a mating space defined therein. The front wall defines passageways communicating with the receiving cavity and the mating space. The connector includes an insulating housing and a number of terminals retained in the housing. Each terminal includes an engaging portion extending beyond a front face of the housing into the mating space through a corresponding passageway and a press-tail extending upwardly beyond a top face of the housing. The printed circuit board defines plated through holes compliantly receiving the press-fit tails of the terminals.

摘要: A connector module for receiving a signal converter and electrically connecting the signal converter to a printed circuit board mounted within an electronic system. The connector module includes a conductive cage having a plurality of press-fit type pins and a shielding lid. The connector module further defines a top opening and a cavity with an opening on a bottom portion of the conductive cage for receiving the connector which electrically connecting with the signal converter. The shielding lid covers on the top opening. The connector comprises a plurality of contacts each having a press-fit end, said press-fit ends extending toward the printed circuit board and mounting therein.

摘要: A pin header (10) for being mounted onto a printed circuit board (30) includes a dielectric housing (12) and a single row of terminal pins (14) in the housing. The housing forms a pair of boardlocks (16) and a stabilizer bar (18) on a same lateral side (122) thereof. Each boardlock forms a pair of legs (162) for being interferingly inserted into a hole (34) in the printed circuit board for preventing the housing from floating during soldering or rocking toward a second lateral side (123) of the housing opposite the lateral side (122). The stabilizer bar has a bottom surface (182) generally co-planar with a bottom face (124) of the housing for abutting on a top surface (36) of the printed circuit board, for preventing the housing from leaning toward the lateral side. Therefore, the terminal pins can be correctly soldered into first holes (32) of the printed circuit board since the header is stabilized by the boardlock and the stabilizer bar.

摘要: An IDC connector having EMI shield comprises a dielectric housing defining front and rear faces. An array of passageways is defined between the front and rear faces. Each passageway securely receives a terminal therein. Each terminal forms an insulation displacement section extending beyond the rear face and a pin section extending beyond the front face. A cover is assembled to the rear face for facilitating termination between a flat flexible cable and the insulation displacement sections. An EMI shield is assembled to the housing. The EMI shield includes an upper shell having a shroud surrounding the pin sections. A plurality of flaps extends downward from lower longitudinal sides of the shroud and abuts against outer faces of the housing. A lower shell is engaged with the upper shell for enclosing the cover.

摘要: An EMI shield having a self-aligning device comprises a shroud portion defining a receptacle for receiving a mating portion of an inserted complementary connector. A first flange portion laterally extends around a bottom periphery of the shroud portion. The flange defines a plurality of holes for extension of locking bolts therethrough. Biasing tabs are integrally formed on side walls of the shroud portion and project into the receptacle for abutting against outer walls of a housing of the inserted complementary connector.

摘要: A flat flexible cable connector includes an insulative housing defining a receiving cavity for movably receiving an actuator. The housing defines a plurality of channels for receiving and retaining conductive contacts. Each contact has a fixed arm retained in the housing and a resilient arm extending into the space. The actuator has a tongue insertable into the receiving cavity. The tongue has a top face for retaining a leading end of a flat flexible cable whereby when the tongue is inserted into the cavity, the flat flexible cable engages with the resilient arms of the contacts. A plurality of spaced slots are defined in a bottom face of the tongue for guidingly receiving the fixed arms of the contacts thereby guiding the insertion of the actuator into the housing and eliminating transverse oscillation of the actuator.
