Abstract: A power transmission device has an interlocking member 9 moving a pressure member 5 from an inactive position to an active position. A release spring (m) applies an urging force, while allowing movements of the interlocking member 9 and the pressure member 5, until drive-side clutch plates 6 and driven-side clutch plates 7 reach an engaged state before the drive-side clutch plates 6 and the driven-side clutch plates 7 are pressed against each other. A clutch spring 11 is compressed in a process where the interlocking member 9 moves after the drive-side clutch plates 6 and the driven-side clutch plates 7 have reached the engaged state. The clutch spring applying a press-contact force between the drive-side clutch plates 6 and the driven-side clutch plates 7 while allowing movements of the interlocking member 9 and the pressure member 5. The set load of the clutch spring 11 is set to be smaller than the maximum load of the release spring (m).

Abstract: A power transmitting apparatus has a clutch member and a pressure member. The cam surfaces of the pressure-contact assist cam face each other. Abstract: Provided is a centrifugal clutch configured so that a clutch weight can be smoothly displaced without interference with backward displacement of the clutch weight in a rotary drive direction of a drive plate and assist thrust can be stably generated. A centrifugal clutch 200 includes, through swing support pins 214, clutch weights 230 on a drive plate 210 to be rotatably driven by drive force of an engine, and includes plate-side cam bodies 218 and dampers 221. The clutch weight 230 turnably displaces to a clutch outer 240 side through the swing support pin 214, and includes a weight-side cam body 235 configured to climb on the plate-side cam body 218 and a damper groove 236. The damper groove 236 is formed such that a groove width W2 for fitting the damper 221 when the clutch weight 230 is at a clutch-ON position is wider to a front side in a rotary drive direction of the drive plate 210 than a groove width W1 for fitting the damper 221 when the clutch weight 230 is at a clutch-OFF position.

Abstract: A continuously variable transmission that can suppress the size increase, complication, and weight increase of the device configuration is provided. A continuously variable transmission 100 includes a drive pulley 101 that is connected to a crank shaft 90. The drive pulley 101 includes a fixed drive plate 102 that is rotationally driven directly by driving force of an engine and a movable drive plate 110 that approaches or become separated with respect to the fixed drive plate 102 in accordance with centrifugal force by rotational drive of the crank shaft 90. A displacement resistor 120 including a rod body abuts on the movable drive plate 110 in the state in which the fixed drive plate 102 is penetrated. The displacement resistor 120 is pressed by a resistance spring 134 of a pressing mechanism 130 provided outside the fixed drive plate 102. In the pressing mechanism 130, a variable mechanism 140 adjusts pressing force by the resistance spring 134.
