    Abstract: A door closer (10) includes an exterior housing (11), a spring assembly (12), a ratchet assembly (13), and a clutch assembly (14). The housing has a central tube (17), drive collar (23), a top end cap (52), and a bottom end cap (65). The drive collar includes an indexing pin channel (41) and indexing pin (42) which includes a pawl (45) having a contact surface (47) and a curved bearing surface (48). The spring assembly includes a shaft (73), a spring stop (80), and a helical torsion spring (106) positioned upon the shaft. The ratchet assembly resides within drive collar and includes ratchet wheel (111) having an annular array of ratchet teeth (112) configured to mesh with the pawl of the indexing pin. Each tooth has an undercut contact surface (113) and a curved bearing surface (114). The clutch assembly includes a bottom disc (120) and a top disc (121).

    Abstract: There is disclosed a hinge (10) having a cartridge (12) with a round interior channel (16), a mounting flange (20) with a mounting hole (24) therein, a bushing (28), a pivot pin (33) having a square shoulder section (43) and a round shaft (44), a cam follower (49), a cam (50), a compression spring (51) and a spring retainer (52). The cam follower has a square mounting hole (55) which fits within the square shoulder section. The cam includes central hole (58) configured to receive the pivot pin shaft. The cam includes elongated guides (61). A cabinet mounting bracket (72) is coupled to the pivot pin. The hinge is assembled by coupling the cam follower onto the pivot pin prior to placing the combination into the cartridge with the pivot pin square shoulder section received within the cam follower square mounting hole to prevent relative rotation therebetween.

    Abstract: A panic bar latch release assembly is disclosed having an inside latch release and an outside pull type handle latch. The handle latch includes a main housing having a pivotal pull handle. The inside latch release includes a first bar mount, a second bar mount, and an elongated push bar. The first bar mount has a support bracket with a floor with a first stop wall and an extended portion with a push rod guide hole extending therethrough. A body portion is coupled to the support bracket which includes a handle mount channel which is partially defined by a second stop wall. A handle mount is pivotally coupled to the body portion. An elongated push rod is positioned within a push rod channel of the door so as to extend through the push rod guide hole.

    Abstract: A pivot hinge bracket assembly for use with a pivot hinge for a reach-in type cool room refrigerator includes two mirror imaged main bracket portions and a pivot plate removably coupled to one of the main bracket portions. The main bracket portion includes an edge mounting flange extending to a rear mounting flange mounted to the cool room refrigerator door jamb. The edge mounting flange has a modified square mounting hole and pivot pin plate screw mounting holes. The rear mounting flange has two door screw mounting holes.
