摘要: A hologram recorder includes a signal beam irradiator to irradiate a signal beam, which is optically modulated in accordance with information to be recorded, to a recording medium at a predetermined incident angle. The hologram recorder also includes a recording prism provided with surfaces including an incident surface, a reflective surface and an emission surface for light so that a recording reference beam is guided to the recording medium by way of these surfaces. A pivot mechanism of the hologram recorder causes the recording prism to pivot above the recording medium for changing the incident angle of the recording reference beam at the recording medium, with the recording reference beam kept to overlap the signal beam.

摘要: Provided is an objective lens for recording a hologram that condenses an recording beam on a hologram recording medium, and the objective lens is configured so as to condense, in the case where the recording beam is incident upon the objective lens in a form of a parallel beam flux, an on-axis beam flux and an off-axis beam flux contained in the parallel flux so as to form a beam waist in the hologram recording medium, and such that a distance between an off-axis image point of the off-axis beam flux that defines a largest field angle among the off-axis beam fluxes gradually converging ahead of the beam waist and the hologram recording medium becomes minimal.

摘要: A hologram recorder applies a recording beam (S) and a reference beam (R) to the illumination site (p) of a hologram recording medium (B). The interference between the recording beam (S) and the reference beam (R) produces multiple hologram recording at the illumination site (p). The recorder includes a recording-purpose reference beam reflector (10) for reflecting the reference beam (R) to the illumination site (p), and a pivot mechanism for pivoting the reflector (10) about an axis (x) to vary the incident angle (θr) of the reflected reference beam (R) to the recording medium (B). The reflector (10) is disposed to cross a predetermined optical path. The axis (x) of the pivot mechanism is so arranged that the reflected reference beam (R) is directed to the illumination site (p) even when the incident angle (θr) of the beam (R) changes due to the pivoting of the reflector (10).

摘要: A hologram recorder is provided, in which coherent light from a light source is split into a signal beam and a reference beam, and the signal beam is modulated by a spatial light modulator to be directed to a hologram recording medium, while the reference beam is directed to the hologram recording medium to overlap with the signal beam for recording a hologram on the hologram recording medium. The hologram recorder includes a beam phase modulator provided with a plurality of optical devices (20p, 20p′) each configured to assume one of two modes such as ON mode and OFF mode, the ON mode for causing the reference beam to be passed or reflected in a predetermined direction toward the hologram recording medium, the OFF mode for causing the reference beam to be blocked or directed in another direction other than the predetermined direction. Each optical device (20p, 20p′) provides a phase difference 0 or π. A phase modulation controller is also provided for individually controlling the optical devices (20p, 20p′) to cause each of the optical devices to assume the ON mode or the OFF mode, thereby modulating the reference beam into a beam having a predetermined phase pattern.

摘要: A hologram recorder (A) records holograms in a selected unit recording area (B1) of a hologram recording medium (B) by interference between a recording beam (Lr) which is applied vertically to the unit recording area (B1) and a reference beam (Lr) which is applied obliquely to the unit recording area (B1). The hologram recorder (A) includes a reference beam oblique applier (23A, 23B) for application of the reference beam (Lr) obliquely to the unit recording area (B1) by reflection, and a reference beam swing mechanism (30) for supporting the reference beam oblique applier (23A, 23B) and for swinging the reference beam oblique applier (23A, 23B) about a predetermined rotation axis which is perpendicular to an entering direction of the recording beam (Lw) that makes an entry into the unit recording area.

摘要: A hologram recording device illuminates with a recording beam (S) a hologram recording medium (B), and illuminates with a reference beam (R) a region illuminated with the recording beam (p) while variably controlling the incident angle regarding the hologram recording medium (B) whereby holograms are recorded on the illuminated region (p) in multiple by interference of the recording beam (S) and the reference beam (R). The device includes an incident angle variable controller for variably controlling the incident angle of the reference beam (R) in a predetermined range. The hologram recording medium (B) has such characteristics that its recording sensitivity degrades as the incoming light amount increases. The incident angle variable controller changes the incident angle of the reference beam (R) from a larger angle to a smaller angle.

摘要: A hologram recorder includes a light source for emitting a laser beam, a polarizing beam splitter for splitting the laser beam into a recording beam and a reference beam in accordance with a state of polarization, and a rotary polarizer located between the light source and the polarizing beam splitter. The rotary polarizer has the function of optical rotation, whereby a polarization component to be the recording beam is increased from the central portion toward the peripheral portion of the laser beam, and a polarization component to be the reference beam is decreased from the central portion toward the peripheral portion of the laser beam.
