    摘要: In a recording technique in which a plurality of light spots are simultaneously formed by using an ultra-short pulse laser and a spatial phase modulator, and a plurality of recording dots having refractive indexes different from those of the vicinities thereof are formed inside a recording medium, it is hard to make recording quality and a recording density compatible. Therefore, a plurality of dots are recorded at a predetermined dot pitch, and then other dots are recorded between the recorded dots.

    摘要: An information recording/reproducing device includes a radiation light source 1 such as a semiconductor laser, a spatial modulation element 6 that splits laser light 2 emitted from the radiation light source 1 into a large number of diffracted light rays, and an objective lens 7 that converges the large number of diffracted light rays onto different points. The laser light 2 emitted from the radiation light source 1 is split into a large number of diffracted light rays by the spatial modulation element 6, the large number of diffracted light rays are converged onto different points in the photosensitive layer 8b of the information recording medium 8 by the objective lens 7, and information is recorded in the photosensitive layer 8b of the information recording medium 8, using an assembly of these converging points. Accordingly, it is possible to provide an information recording device capable of realizing high-contrast recording in which stray light or diffraction has no influence during signal recording.

    摘要: A recording/playback apparatus includes a light-generating and intensity-modulating section for generating signal light and reference light to be shined on a hologram recording medium and a phase modulating section for performing phase modulation on the signal light and the reference light on the basis of a pixel unit by using the first to nth phase modulation levels. For the phase modulation on the reference light, all pixels corresponding to the reference light are divided and set using random phase units, each having a predetermined pixel array pattern having at least two pixels, the number of pixels corresponding to each of the first to nth phase modulation levels in each random phase unit is common to the random phase units, and the array pattern of the pixels corresponding to the first to nth phase modulation levels is random for each random phase unit.
