Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to methods for treating hair, which are particularly useful for repairing, strengthening, and protecting hair from damage. The methods include applying to the hair each of the following components, together, separately, or in any combination thereof, in one or more hair-treatment compositions:
(a) at least one amino acid or amino sulfonic acid, and/or a salt thereof, which is present in at least one of the one or more hair-treatment compositions in an amount of at least 0.5 wt. %; (b) at least one non-polymeric mono, di, or tricarboxylic acid, and/or a salt thereof, which is present in at least one of the one or more hair-treatment compositions in an amount of at least 0.5 wt. %; and (c) at least one non-taurate surfactant, which is present in at least one of the one or more hair-treatment compositions.
Hair treated with the methods exhibit desirable cosmetic properties such as smoothness, gloss, improved combability, and improved strength and elasticity.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a solid composition intended in particular for washing and/or conditioning keratin fibres, notably human keratin fibres such as the hair, and which comprises an anionic surfactant and a mixture of citric acid and alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal bicarbonate. The invention also relates to a packaging article containing said solid composition, and also to cosmetic processes for treating keratin fibres, in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, using said solid composition or said packaging article. The invention also relates to the use of said solid composition or of said packaging article for washing and/or conditioning keratin fibres, in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a composition for washing keratin materials, in particular human keratin fibres such as the hair, comprising the mixing of an anhydrous solid composition comprising one or more anionic surfactants and one or more amphoteric or zwitterionic surfactants with water, followed by agitation and then leaving to stand the aqueous composition obtained from this mixing.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an aqueous cosmetic composition which is in the form of a flexible solid, comprising: from 25% to 70% by weight of one or more anionic surfactants and one or more types of non-hollow solid particles, said composition comprising at least one anionic surfactant chosen from acylisethionates, preferably having an acyl group containing from 6 to 30 carbon atoms. Said composition is of preferential use as a composition for cleaning or washing keratin materials, in particular the hair. The invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment process, in particular for caring for, cleaning and/or conditioning keratin materials, using said composition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a preserving agent for a cosmetic composition, comprising 4-OH (3-ethoxy-4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-butanone and a second compound chosen from salicylic acid, the compounds of formula (II), salts thereof, esters thereof with an alcohol containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, and a mixture of these compounds. The present invention also relates to the use of the preserving agent for preserving cosmetic compositions. The present invention also relates to a cosmetic composition comprising the above preserving agent. Finally, the present invention relates to the use of the cosmetic composition for treating keratin fibres, preferably human keratin fibres such as the hair.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to hair-treatment compositions, which are particularly useful for repairing, strengthening, and protecting hair from damage. The hair-treatment composition include at least 0.5 wt. % of at least one amino acid or amino sulfonic acid, and/or a salt thereof, and optionally, at least 0.5 wt. % of at least one non-polymeric mono, di, or tricarboxylic acid, and/or a salt thereof. Additional components such as surfactants and water may also be included. The unique components of the hair-treatment compositions restructure the hair fibers and result in the hair exhibiting improved properties such as increased hair fiber strength, better discipline, and more curl definition.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an aqueous cosmetic composition in flexible solid form, comprising: at least 12 wt.-% of one or more anionic surfactants, and one or more polymer conditioning agents, said composition comprising at least one anionic surfactant selected from among acyl isethionates. The composition is preferably suitable for use as a composition for cleaning or washing keratin materials, particularly hair. The invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment method intended in particular for the care, cleaning and/or conditioning of keratin materials using said composition.
