    Abstract: A nature-based foaming cleansing composition includes at least one glycolipid that includes at least one rhamnolipid, at least one cationic polymer, at least one nature-based viscosity modifying polymeric thickener for a water-based system or at least one anionic surfactant, or a combination thereof, and water present from about 60% to about 98% by weight of the cleansing composition. The at least one cationic polymer may be chitosan, and in particular embodiments, low molecular weight chitosan, and the at least one nature-based viscosity modifying polymeric thickener for a water-based system may be one of algin, xanthan gum (and) sclerotium gum (and) lecithin (and) pullulan (Siligel™), xanthan gum, carbomer 980, hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, ammonium polyacryloyldimethyl taurate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, acrylate copolymer, sclerotium gum. The nature-based foaming cleansing composition has a shelf stable thick texture and pleasing high foaming action upon application, and as compared with commercial benchmarks, provides comparable or enhanced makeup removal with a higher relative content of natural ingredients and without harsh ingredients.

    Abstract: The present disclosure is drawn to cleansing compositions. The cleansing compositions include: (a) one or more anionic surfactants; (b) one or more nonionic emulsifiers having a Hydrophile-Lipophile Balance (HLB) of about 6 or less; (c) one or more salts providing divalent cations having a charge density of about 40 to about 200 C/mm3 and a water solubility of at least 400 g/L; (d) one or more anionic polymers; (e) one or more water soluble solvents; and (f) water.     Abstract: A cosmetic composition for treating acne includes at least one acne treatment active, for example, salicylic acid or a derivative thereof, which may present in an amount that is greater than 1%, by weight, based on the weight of the sulfate-free cleansing composition, and an aqueous carrier that includes at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of sarcosinates, betaines, and combinations thereof, at least one solubilizer comprising a polyethylene glycol compound, and water. When the sulfate-free cleansing composition is applied to a keratinous tissue it demonstrates deposition and retention of the beta hydroxy acid on the keratinous tissue after rinsing with water.
